I thought the staff did their best under the circumstances. my heart went out to the young lady who was working the cash. you were doing a great job my dear! our pizza was great!! many thanks to the delivery driver who help me get out of my parking space!“

“Scott and his crew at Coffee Matters are second to none! I recently ordered their box lunch for a work event with 70+ people. We have many folks with dietary restrictions, and not only was everyone accommodated, everything as absolutely delicious. There are options galore, and for catered lunches, it’s definitely the best bang for your buck in town. They also deliver to you, making everything a breeze. I couldn’t recommend their services enough!“

“Enjoyed lunch here with a group of friends. We all got the breaded chicken cutlet on a pretzel roll which was amazing and a substantial size for a really reasonable price! Easily shareable as they cut the sandwich in half and customizable with a variety of sauces and toppings, including pickles, carrots and olives on the side. Super delicious and very fresh tasting! Cute setup with the deli on one side and the tables and chairs on the other, and lots of photos on the walls of European food and market scenes. We are definitely planning to return here!“

“While visiting St. John's, many locals had recommended that we stop at the Rocket Bakery for wonderful coffee and their famous fish cakes. Both the coffee and the fish cakes did not disappoint!

This is a charming local café on the pedestrian only stretch of Water Street. It is perfectly located for a quick snack or simply a great coffee.

The baristas were extremely friendly, informative, and crafted a perfect Cortado. Their beans came from Phil and Sebastian coffee roasters which the barista informed me was a roastery out of Alberta. The Cortado was rich, chocolaty and perfectly balanced. It paired surprisingly well with the fish cake!

This is an absolute must stop if you are on water Street, looking for a great cup of coffee and a true Newfoundland staple.“

“Ordered from here off of skip the dishes, I didn’t see they had inputted they were out of vegan chick’n for my order. Because I didn’t see, they refunded me AND added tofu free of charge. I think it’s very thoughtful to still include something and provide a refund, we were all very happy with our food and service. Thanks for thinking of your guests!! “I generally enjoy Boston Pizza on Stavanger Drive. But today was awful. I usually order on the app and the Macaroni dish today was terrible. The container was half full, and was basically bare macaroni noodles with a bit of Alfredo sauce. Took me less than five minutes to finish it. Not good enough for $20. Very unimpressed.“

“Me and my friends were there for the hockey game a few weeks ago. Food was great and our service from Heather was fantastic. She is on the ball! Very sweet and always making sure you are tended to. This will be my go to spot for any sports events.“

I ordered vegan butter chicken meal which came with rice, naan bread and samosa . It was a little pricey but for the portion of food you get, it's worth
it. The meal was soo tasty and flavor and had a spicy 'kick' which is what I expect for this type of meal.
