Food is always delicious, the people serving are always smiling and friendly. The eating area is clean and looks well taken care of. The tray/trash area can become cluttered quickly as people are always taking their dishes over to the drop area. Sometimes when there are more than 3 people In line, it can take a while to be served. Lunch rush is terribly long but all in all, I keep going back!

We ordered takeout from Thai express and everything we ordered was delicious. The restaurant itself is super clean and the workers there are so friendly. Would definitely recommend. We will be returning

Great consistent thai food. I always get my regular and the portions did seem bigger but not sure exactly by how much. The decor was very lovely and did bring a little hint of thailand. Also appreciated the sauce and condiments bar, it was nice seeing lime slices and sriracha bottles for people to try with their food.

I’ve eaten at Thai Express in St. John’s twice. The first time, I absolutely loved it — the dish I ordered (something with pork, my favorite) was simply amazing, a solid 5 out of 5. Unfortunately, the second time — the very day I took these photos — the same dish was only about a 3 out of 5, and my husband felt the same. I guess it really depends on which chef is working that day.
The place itself is lovely and cozy. For St. John’s, it’s definitely a good spot to grab a meal, and personally, I enjoy it more than the Thai Express in Avalon Mall. Still, consistency seems to vary depending on the kitchen staff. Overall, I’d recommend giving it a try — especially since there aren’t that many good casual options in St. John’s outside of sit-down evening restaurants.

I've never written a Google review before, but this Thai express location is so nice I had to write my first one. So clean. Perfect ambient temperature. Condiments nicely presented with clean serving tools. High ceilings, pot lights, tasteful decor, and even some family and employee photos. Light jazz playing the complete the mood. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, with big smiles. A lovely lunchtime dining experience. The crispy egg was to die for.

I really love Thai express, I order it often. The staff is great, atmosphere is great, and the food is generally great (I always order the same thing). That said, I’m gaining in frustration because I continue to order extra sauce and continue to get dry dry dry noodles (it almost feels like it’s less sauce than when I say nothing about adding extra). It’s frustrating to pay extra and get something so dry. That said, I will keep going. When it’s good, it’s great

Lovely, lovely spot. Had their seasonal Holy Basil with lots of spice, which was delicious and perfumed with basil, and the spice builds wonderfully with every bite. Awesome stuff. A little pricy, but.. who isn't these days?

Great place! Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The Pad See-Ew is best. The other dishes aren't exactly traditional Thai and taste different than they should, but otherwise tasty food.

We gave this a try on Sunday past. I had the lobster pad thai (very good), my wife had the chicken bowl (very good), and my son had the chicken pad thai (also very good). Would have been perfect except the two orders of steamed dumplings we bought weren’t given to us and we didn’t notice until we got home. Tried to call, no luck getting a hold of anyone. Some blame with us, of course, but definitely a bummer.

Visited lunch time and had lunch. The food was tasty and hot. The battered chicken was really dry but everything else was good. I gave my feedback to the chef and he thanked me for my feedback and apology.

Nice clean spot, but disappointed by the food. Hardly any veggies just a bunch of greasy noodles with chicken and lack of flavor. They can do better.

I recently visited Thai Express and had a great experience! I ordered the noodles with shrimp, and it was delicious—cooked perfectly with great flavors. The portion size was generous, and the shrimp were fresh and tasty. I also noticed how clean and well-maintained the area was, which added to the overall experience. Friendly staff and quick service made it even better. I’ll definitely be back to try more from their menu. Highly recommended!
