Came in just for drinks. We had to get them from the bartender who was quite friendly. The server was busy on her phone and working a severe case of RBF.

Great location right on the water in the beautiful tiny town of Norris Point. Lots of parking and lots of seating available when here in September. The food was ok, but the fries with my meal were not even warm. Considering it was not busy I guess I got the last of a batch which was also full of the little end bits of the fries. The pan fried cod was not bad but that batter was quite heavy for pan fried. Next time I will have to try something else from the menu.

It was just about the last nice, warm evening we had on our visit to Newfoundland that we dropped into the Cat Stop for dinner on the deck. Decent beer selection, and I have to recommend the Jiggs Poutine. Heaping pile of deliciousness! (that is stuffing sprinkled on top. Mmmm.) Accompanied by a nice sour from Quidi Vidi brewery, it was a great meal.

Lovely atmosphere, right on the bay with a great view and a large patio if weather permits. Nice, new, clean establishment. Service was very good when we went; friendly and helpful with recommendations.
Food was good as well. The Turkey Club was outstanding as was the Smash Burger. They also had a 'beef chili' soup of the day that was very tasty.
Definitely recommend.

We visited The Cat Stop Waterfront Pub on a busy Friday night when it was already quite booked, but manager Nikita went out of her way to accommodate us, which we greatly appreciated. From there, our experience only got better thanks to our server, Bridget, who provided outstanding service. Not only was she friendly and attentive, but she also shared her impressive knowledge of marine life, which made our evening all the more enjoyable. I would highly recommend The Cat Stop Waterfront Pub—not just for the great atmosphere, but especially for the exceptional service.

Amazing service and the patio is beautiful.
Everything we order was delicious. The cod tacos were filling and the hot honey chicken burger was crispy and a great portion. If you try anything here it MUST be the chowder.

The view on the patio while eating and watching the sun go down was spectacular. The service was great and the food was awesome. The newly renovated building looks fabulous. I will definitely be back again. Looking forward to hearing more live music there as well.

Food was good but the service was terribly slow. We waited for about 45 minutes to get served. It didn’t happen to us only as I saw another table left unattended and they decided to leave. At least the entertainment and the view were amazing.

6 of us ordered the special of the day - Philly Steak sandwich - none of us liked it (appeared to have processed cheese slices). We all shared the jigs dinner poutine and onion rings... all agreed the appetizers were great. We didnt mind the long wait for food, we enjoyed the view and beer.

Had a great experience at the Cat Stop Waterfront pub this evening. Wonderful atmosphere, delightful service, excellent love music but the best of all was our fresh cod meal with beet salad.

Service was awful. We waited and didn’t get served, Meanwhile one of the workers stood at the bar on her phone ignoring us. We left and didn’t bother.

Wow! What a wonderful change in this place since the last time I was here a few years ago. Our family of 4 had a fantastic meal, with music playing in the background, and even our kids loved it.

The food and vibe has changed so much! We had the cod tacos, and hand battered cod, and the boys had burgers and everything felt so homemade. Best meal of our trip to NL so far.

Special shout-out to our friendly server Nikita! Even though the place was busy, we felt extremely well taken care of!
