My wings tasted like deep fried fish. Supposed to be Seasalt and Honey. Salt yes. Dry wings. I think two had a bit of honey. Nice and crispy and fair size. The taste was disappointing. House salad dressing was lemon juice as far as I could tell. Hard to eat. Husband's chicken was dry and tasted slightly freezer burned..no seasoning. he did not eat. Good gravy on the fries. Other Guest Chicken strips were very good. The host/server was on the phone the whole time. We were done eating and waited but not offered dessert or coffee or anything. I think she was still on the phone when we left. Went based on recommendations. Was there once before and food was OK. But they messed up 1 order twice and one of our guests had to eat after the rest were all finished. Sorry I didn't get to try the sushi. It's only on Saturdays. Normally wouldn't post. Everyone has a bad day now and again. Best of luck!
Sushi Saturday! What a treat. To find excellent sushi this far from a major city was a wonderful surprise. Incredibly light and delicious.
We had the tempera, the dynamite roll and California roll. All excellent. I hope you continue sushi Saturdays and consider expanding your offering. It would be nice to see some local scallop, lobster etc.

I stopped into this “cafe” today. Beautiful area, ample parking , very friendly staff. I was expecting a coffee that would keep me coming back for more, as I am an avid coffee drinker, sadly I poured it out in the other side of the parking lot. I very much enjoyed the cheesecake, I cannot speak high enough of it. After being told everything in house was homemade I asked was the coffee was a house blend, she replied that she didn’t know? It was bitter burnt and old.

We were driving thru back to St. John's and decided to drop in to check out the food (sorry for the partially eaten fish picture.. was so good I dug into it right away). We had read some reviews online that people really enjoyed the food and location. Our server was from New Brunswick however had family in the area and she was great to deal with. The food was prepared fresh and was delivered in a good time. I was sick of all the deep fried cod over the last few days and really wanted pan fried for a change and it was really worth it. My wife had the club sandwich and she really enjoyed it. The prices were reasonable. It is a great location to visit!
Parking: Lots of gravel lot parking.
Kid-friendliness: The space is not huge, but depending on how many people are there kids can sit comfortably. It may get a little noisy though.

This was a cute spot near an Airbnb we were staying at that we wanted to check out. Service was good, lovely locals working there were super friendly. We had sushi as it was promoted as “sushi Saturday…” The sushi was Aweful. They used avocados that weren’t ripe so they were rock hard, the staff weren’t sure what sushi they brought out as they said they don’t know much about it… the rolls were thin and fell apart when we picked them up. To be fair, friends had the fish and chips which looked great, but I’m trying to leave a fair assessment of what I ate, and based on the sushi experience I had I would suggest avoiding that one — but for some nice local greasy spoon food, it’s def a place to try!

The staff and food are amazing. Neat little spot on the hills. Cheesecake is UNREAL. Owner does need to reevaluate the number of staff working during supper rush/peak times. The staff were incredible and firing on all cylinders and doing the best they can. 10/10 to the amazing staff working!
Parking: Directly in front of building

Had supper here today on the deck. Food and service were great. They were looking after a large group and gave us a heads up that our service would be delayed. We didnt mind at all . My brother said it was the best burger he ever had, great meals all around.

Went with a large group for a special event for breakfast. I had the full Irish breakfast, plus the fishcakes. Took me back to the time I went to Ireland. Fishcakes were equally as delicious. Appreciated the accommodation for our group for us to all have breakfast together. Also managed to grab a couple of beers to try, from the Bay de Verde brewery.

We stopped by on the way back from a day at the beach. I had a hamburger and salad- both were excellent- one of the best hamburgers I’ve had. Others had Maple onion rings- fantastic. Fried chicken was moist. Fish was good-better than the Ches’s we had- but still tasted like it had been frozen- but I am very picky about fish- so those who had it still said it was good. Staff was super friendly and I can’t go before mentioning their cheese cakes- AMAZING! So many choices- all great- we took a piece each so we could all try different flavors later. I want to add a specific note to say that they have no bake cheesecakes with no eggs I did not want those flavours as I’m not a fan. In the 6 flavours we chose- I ended up liking the 2 no bake flavours best! Best I’ve ever had as well- my favorites were chocolate Sunday, chocolate truffle and salted caramel- but really they were all good!! Highly recommend.
