I stopped into this “cafe” today. Beautiful area, ample parking , very friendly staff. I was expecting a coffee that would keep me coming back for more, as I am an avid coffee drinker, sadly I poured it out in the other side of the parking lot. I very much enjoyed the cheesecake, I cannot speak high enough of it. After being told everything in house was homemade I asked was the coffee was a house blend, she replied that she didn’t know? It was bitter burnt and old.
We were driving thru back to St. John's and decided to drop in to check out the food (sorry for the partially eaten fish picture.. was so good I dug into it right away). We had read some reviews online that people really enjoyed the food and location. Our server was from New Brunswick however had family in the area and she was great to deal with. The food was prepared fresh and was delivered in a good time. I was sick of all the deep fried cod over the last few days...
We had the tempera, the dynamite roll and California roll. All excellent. I hope you continue sushi Saturdays and consider expanding your offering. It would be nice to see some local scallop, lobster etc.
