We recently ordered a custom made Black Forest cake for an event. The presentation of the cake upon pickup was spectacular! We followed the verbal and written instructions. The cake was amazing, it was moist , icing was not sweet & it looked beautiful on the plates . Our guests really enjoyed it and several people took cake home ❤️ I was very happy with cake & would order again Thanks

We ordered a vanilla honey cake for our wedding dinner. It was missing the “just married” writing on the top so looked unfinished and wasn’t what we wanted. When messaging them to let them know they seen the message and didn’t bother to reply. We didn’t use it for the wedding dinner after so we kept it in the fridge till the following day. Following the directions we took it out of the fridge for 2 hours to warm up and soften. The “buttercream” was still a play dough like consistency and wa falling apart when cutting the cake. Pieces of the “buttercream” could be cracked in half. It has little to no taste for a buttercream icing… for $160 we are extremely disappointed and again, didn’t even end up using it for the wedding… would appreciate a reply to my messages to rectify this concern.

Absolutely LOVED Cakey Hand as a vendor for our event. We had their individual charcuterie cups and a dessert spread. They set it up beautifully, were easy to deal with but best of all we’ve been drooling over everything ever since. Highly recommend

Lovely spot. The red velvet cake we got was fresh, the buttercream icing was absolutely fantastic and the cake was not too sweet. The lady at the counter was helpful and nice.

The cake I purchased for a family gathering was beautiful and tasted great. I’m not quite sure why it was described as “Oreo,” as no one could detect any Oreos in it. It was a tasty chocolate cake, however. I would suggest cutting back on the food colouring, unless it’s a special request. All the cakes in the case were brightly coloured. While our cake looked lovely, we all had stained mouths within a couple bites and wish that could have been avoided.

Cakeyhand's desserts are positively sinful- but in a good way. Their honey cakes are amazing- the Carrot Cake is my absolute favourite. The Cinnamon Buns, baklava, cupcakes, and macarons are amazing. The chocolate is not sickly sweet- it's just nice. Lovley with a cuppa.

Visited the shop a few months ago to grab a cinnamon bun. Waited behind a lady for at least 30 minutes while she browsed cakes with the cashier. Left without getting what I wanted after the long wait.
Needs a better system for people coming off the street to order custom cakes.
Have had CakeyHand 3 times, and always been disappointed. Figured after today's experience I'd leave a review. Picked up a piece of black forest cake for dessert this evening and it wasn't too flavourful and half of it didn't even have cherries.

We visit cakeyhand often for Friday evening treats and enjoyed everything we have ever had there (especially cinnimon buns, cheesecake and macarons) Earlier this week I contacted cakeyhand very last minute to see if they could put something together for my daughters birthday after my baker bailed on us. They surpassed my expectations by making a custom Taylor Swift cake and matching cupcakes just hours before the party. The cake was SO beautiful and delicious and the cupcakes were the best that I have ever eaten anywhere. The customer service here is outstanding! I have never gone to cakeyhand before for cakes, but now I will be a repeat birthday cake customer!

I've had their cakes, cupcakes and cookies on a few seperate occasions and they've all been fantastic each time. The standout for me though was today when I put in an order through Skip. One of the items was out of stock to I talked to someone at the bakery and got it all sorted out. We got a notification a few minutes later that Skip had cancelled the order (not the bakery). We tried to put it through again but we were having trouble because the app was now saying the things we ordered were all out of stock. I called the bakery and talked to the same person again and she was so kind. She said that she did see that the order was cancelled but wanted to wait a few minutes before putting everything back to see if it was a mistake so that the items we picked out would still be available if we still wanted them. The app was saying only one type of cookie was available (untrue) but if we put it in as the correct amount of that one cookie she would make sure that we got the different types we discussed previously. This was probably nothing to her but it meant a lot to us that she was so kind and understanding.
