Amazing chocolate chip biscuits. Soft and moist but still pleasantly crumbly. We’d love to go back to try the cheese biscuits too. The chocolate chip biscuits came up in conversation multiple times as we tried bakeries across Newfoundland, with these being the best biscuits we had during our whole trip. It may be a small place, but worth stopping in.
Lovely little cottages. We had two bedrooms, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and living room. Had breakfast at the cafe - nothing beats a home cooked meal - and a few drinks at the local club. Friendly people with helpful advice. True Newfoundland hospitality.
We drove quite a way to reach this well reputed bakery and cafe. Like many of the businesses in Newfoundland this is more than a bakery and cafe. It is a diner and convenient store. It may also rent cabins for the night. A woman brewed us a fresh pot, which was very kind of her. We picked up a raspberry pie and More Bars. Both were tasty.
