Typical if a newfoundland diner. Staff is attentive, good menu options, slightly overpriced as is most stuff on the island.
Had the moose burger platter as my first experience w moose. Tasty, a little leaner, but nothing noticeably differenc from beef.
The Greco pizza was good all downed w a Pepsi as the water was on advisory boil in this town.

We ordered bacon wrapped scallops 5 small for $15. We had lobster bisque which was good $18 each. Then had Iceberg beer $22 for 2. The total came to over $80 was not impressed for so so food

Worst meal of our trip to Newfoundland. Tiny portions, artificial bacon bits, cold soggy vegetables, packaged margarine for the baked potato, mediocre seafood — and in an unappealing environment……. and it was EXPENSIVE.

Terrible food all around. They stack the lobster rolls with salad first so there appears to be more lobster, which is disappointing for a $30 meal.

Such a wonderful experience dining at this restaurant! Had a window seat with a beautiful view of the sunset. The staff were lovely and the service was quick. Food was delicious! Good vegetarian and vegan options which is often difficult to find! The homemade lentil burger was phenomenal and the chilli and rice was delicious and filling.

Must try the lobster bisque. 🦞. Definitely upgrade your fries with dressing and gravy.

So disappointed. Food cool, I did not salmon steak could be cut that thin. Fisherman's platter was sad, especially for the price. Had to eat her 2times b/c nothing else open. Nfld hospitality at its lowest.

Good fish and chips. Also, good grilled chicken. Not much atmosphere. They did have a Halloween tree. That was a first.

Small restaurant close to the sea, has that family dinner flair, old-school, like the mom and dad business.
Very friendly greeting, and don't expect 5 stars!
Menu and prices feel off to the interior, the over all vibe. Wanted some fresh fish and really thought for CAD35 I can expect it. Well, I was wrong.
The cot I got with vegetable and backed potatoes was everything else.
It appears to be canned vegetables, microwave potato, and frozen fish warmed up in the microwave as well.
To my side, I got butter, tartar sauce and creme fresh as you would expect to see at a continental breakfast buffet. Everything in single serving in small plastic containers, just put on the plate like a IKEA dish to assemble myself.
Very disappointing.

To the standard question of "how does it taste" I gave her a friendly but honest rundown of my experience and disappointment but nobody from the kitchen seems to care or was concerned.

Again, service was good but seems that the kitchen is tired and maybe it's time to pass the business on to someone who cares.

I fell hard on the right side of my body on the outdoor deck of the restaurant and layed on the deck floor for a good 5 minutes without being able to move myself up. When I finally could get up, I walked into the restaurant and asked the waitress to use the bathroom first since I
had just had the terrible fall. She said oh, I thought you were praying there!
What a dumb thing to think and say!!! Who would have chosen a restaurant deck , without any sign of a saint, a Marie, an abcdef whatsoever to pray? Is she dumb or just a Newfie???
