Lovely little cafe with breakfast, sandwiches and mains as well. Even though they’re small, they’re busy and the waitress was friendly, upbeat and on it. Really enjoyed the bacon and egger sandwich and the quesadillas. Would come again!

Honestly, this places makes delicious food. I had lunch and breakfast here. I came back specifically for the partridgeberry crumble - which I am missing now that I’m back home in BC. Coffee/lattes were great, grilled cheese, breakfast wraps and French toast were excellent. Classic foods, prepared well. Also, excellent service. I loved the art for sale in the cafe and gift shop below - we came home with a piece with rainbow houses that I love. I wish I would have discovered this place on day 1, as we would have come more often. Highly recommend!

Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options available for breakfast and lunch.

Great place for a light meal. The cinnamon roll s were delicious! Not overly sweet and sticky, just light and flavourful. Best coffee in western Newfoundland. The decor is a bit schlocky, with souvenirs and faux crafts.

Decided to give this establishment a try on our east coast trip last tuesday morning august 13th 2024 as we were pressed for time for our boat tour of west lake. I am appalled at the service and quality of food received. i don’t recommend even as a last minute in a pinch option. as it was 8:45am when i ordered 2 multi grain bagels toasted with cream cheese and a large coffee just over $11 roughly. Not the issue but not exactly cheap for what we received for quality. There was nobody else waiting to be served, in fact guests were clearing out. People started coming in 10 minutes after us and their orders were taken and there was no acknowledgment as to what was going on with our bagels. About 20 minutes later i get the servers attention and asked whats going on, she stated the kitchen just put the bagels into the toaster….. ummm what!?!?!? Its been 20 minutes… if you are short staffed then the server could put the bagels into the toaster as there was no body else to serve? about 25 minutes later we received the saddest bagels with cream cheese i have ever seen. We figured a bagel would be the fastest option before the bout tour but apparently not. Here pictures of what you will receive for almost $5 a piece and 25 minutes of waiting. If i was not in a rush, i would have returned to attempt for a refund. This was the worst excuse for a bagel. If Tim Hortons sent only 2 bagels out like this after 25 minutes, they would be out of business years ago. Shameful as it did seem promising. But i cant testify for anything else. My opinion tho, if you cant efficiently produce a bagel with some sort of quality, i cant imagine the more in-depth dishes are anything to boast about. Zero stars.

French Vanilla was absolutely delicious, the staff was very friendly and very fast. The place was fully decorated with Newfoundland themed paintings, pins, etc, and the gift shop downstairs was also cheaper compared to other gift shops in the area and had a lot of souvenirs

The food was excellent, the service however was not. Had to ask for silverware, the servers didn’t offer drinks, they never returned to the table to see if our meal was ok or if they could get us anything else. One of the servers spent her time sitting in a corner talking to an elderly woman while dictating to the other worker that “ur gonna mop and I’ll vacuum, ur gonna do dishes while I restock the muffins”. The poor girl who was doing the work behind the cash and serving deserved her tips that day.
