We dined there for the views and hiking trail nearby. The food was okay and the price was reasonable. It was late September, we didnt spot any whales or Iceburgs. The waitress said late May to June could be the best time to see both at the same time.

We are visiting NFDL from Niagara Falls Ontario. One of our stops on our driving tour was St Anthony and we ventured up to Goose Cove to view the ocean from the point and dined at the Lighthouse Keepers Cafe. The good was so good, the servcie excellent and to top off the experience....two whales were frolicking in the bay near shore. Highly recommend this area and this restaurant.

What an excellent recommendation from a local. Had poached Cod with steamed carrots and coleslaw. Hubby had poached Halibut with same veggies. First healthy meal in our week if travels. Service was pleasant and efficient. Hope to return again.
Really nice place, food, and people. The views of the ocean and the bays are amazing, and they went out of their way to make cosmopolitan for me without having the exact ingredients. The salted cod fish cakes and the chicken parmigiana were very good.
