We went there on Friday evening 14, September . We were over 2 hours before we got our food. Food was OK but nothing to talk about. I'll never go there again.

Nice place, service was bad but not because of the staff they were very understaffed which led to terrible long wait times and the food fell terribly short of the mark. The menu sounds good but was tasteless and mediocre at best

Quite possibly the worst food experience in Newfoundland. Took over one hour for our order of 5 people, no exaggeration, literally over 60 minutes for food to arrive. Most of it was cold when it came. Portions were really small. $23.00 for a little 4 oz ramekin of pulled pork and some fries, same for 3 little slices of brisket and fries. Staff was friendly and apologetic, but not worth the wait or price for sure.

Tourist trap! Waited almost an hour - when it wasn't too busy - for flavorless food that appeared to have been originally made on a previous date.  The brisket was dried out and a darker, hard crust had developed where it had been sliced. The only condiment available was heinz yellow mustard. They didn't have bread of any kind. The fries were very dark and appeared burnt in places.. as if they had been fried on a previous date and then reheated on a grill. They were a shadow of their former selves, being mostly bits and pieces rather than actual fries. The pulled chicken was a tiny portion served in a little sauce bowl. Zero flavour, and could have been microwaved for all i know. The coleslaw was also presented to us in a small sauce bowl. It had a large dent in the middle, where it looked like half of it was scooped out.  Perhaps there wasn't enough to go around so they had to borrow some from our dish. Very average taste, so just as well. There is a Tim Hortons close by that would be a far better choice.

THE WORST BURGER OF MY LIFE! It's almost like the cook (I can't call him a Chef) tried to make it disgusting. It was burned beyond recognition. I was so hungry that I ate the damn thing anyway rather than the long wait for another. It was blackend and crunchy on the outside and black and lifeless on the inside. It was like it was left in Death Valley at ground zero during a nuclear blast. Then thrown back on the grill and cooked more.

But wait.... It did not stop there. I was with my wife and another couple. Our friend had the brisket and she could not eat it. Again it was WAY OVERCOOKED. She described it as if it had been cooked elsewhere, then brought here and cooked again, then refrigerated and cooked a third time. It was totally dry and lifeless. She did not eat hers and they did not charge her for it. My wife and other friend had grilled cheese and said it was ok.

The bartender was nice enough. Not very proactive seeing if we'd like another drink, but friendly and we had no qualms with him.

Seeing prior reviews with the same issue (overcooked foods) I unfortunately don't think this visit was an anomaly.

Would not recommend to anyone. Waited close to an hour for our food. We ordered nachos- they were poorly slapped together and cold. My soft drink was also warm.

Best place I have been in NL

The food was very disappointing. My son and I had the brisket bun entree. The brisket was sparse, there was hardly any sauce, there were no pickled chillies, and instead of home fries they were frozen store bought. My wife had the smoked chicken club with very little aioli, no barbecue sauce, and frozen store bought fries as well. I have had authentic southern barbecue several times before and I can assure you that this is not even close. With tip our bill was nearly $100.00 and at those prices I expect much better. I can not recommend.

The food was excellent and reasonably priced. My husband and I had the smoked pork ribs. I had the Mac and cheese and my husband had poutine. The drink menu was great but our server did not return to offer a second drink until we were finished our food and ready to leave. One suggestion I have is to serve the food on real dishes. I didn’t like that my Mac n cheese and poutine was served in a cardboard stadium fries container. For the price and quality of the food, it deserves a better presentation. Also there is no A/C so it was very warm. Dress lightly or eat outside. I would definitely return and give it another try.
