Ate here a couple times while in town. The fish and chips are very good. The pork chop I wouldn’t recommend, it was a little dry. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich however though was very good. Everyone that served us was very nice too.
We tried a piece of the lemon pie and it was spectacular, 10/10 recommend.

Went to have breakfast but it unfortunately ended at 11. Would be nice to have it extended to maybe even 12. Got a clubhouse with fries which was excellent. Nice large portions. Outside the restaurant looks great. Inside is dated and could use a facelift. Service was great and staff was very friendly.
I would dine here again.

Poor service on our last visit. Took awhile to acknowledge you were there. Had to ask for coffee and the meal was half over. No spoon to stir your coffee. Asked for items to be well done, didn't happen.
It wasn't that busy, but seen other waitresses busy as bees and on the ball. Smile goes along way 😊

If you are looking for an old-fashioned homecooked meal in Stephenville, then Hartery's Restaurant is your spot to go. The servers are friendly and attentive. Our friends had the ceaser salad with chicken and it was a large portion and lots of chicken. I had their Chinese special and it was also a great portion. I found my chow main to bexa little cool, but the rice was on point. It should be noted we were there after 1 pm so the late ort of lunchtime.

Was there a week ago & stopped in for a bite to eat.Had one lady serve us, no one came back to see how things were or if things were OK.The chicken breast dinner seemed very bland & less then mediocre. The fries were good, gravy was ok not great but the chicken breast honestly could have been at least grilled or at least cooked & not boiled in water. Can say it was not really worth the $17.95.First time ever on the west coast but not a good impression on the food or service.

Hands down one of the most appalling dining experiences I’ve ever had. The owner—a large man stuffed into a shirt two sizes too small, belly hanging out—was chain-smoking outdoors then came in and started holding a loud, unprofessional staff meeting with two waitresses at the counter. Meanwhile, I sat there completely ignored for 15 minutes until someone from the kitchen finally emerged to take my order. The restaurant was filthy, neglected, and reeked of apathy. As for the food—barely cooked, sloppily dumped onto the plate—it was an insult to even call it a meal. I’ve had tastier, more hygienic food from street vendors in Calcutta. This place is a joke.

My husband and I are on a very strict carnivore way of eating. We questioned how we would be charged if we just ate meat products. We were told we would be charged the same price if we ordered a beef burger with fries and gravy as oppose just eating with the beef itself . My husband was told five dollars for the beef burger, extra for the egg extra for the cheese extra for the bacon and then of course the cost of the pork chop itself
My entrée was two beef patties with cheese and bacon and some fried onions. My husband‘s entrée was one beef patty, a fried egg cheese and bacon and he had a pork chop on the side. Our bill came to 67 and change. Sadly, we did not return to that restaurant during the duration of being in Stephenville for 14 days nor would we return to that restaurant going forward in the future the service was awesome. The waitress was a sweet lady. The food was OK. It wasn’t anything that was spectacular, but the cost was extremely high. We had no sides. We had nothing extra. It just seems to be a high price to pay.

Great service, several dishes to choose from, it is cozy and the food is delicious in my opinion.
Parking: Some customers have to park on the back of the building, room enough for about eight vehicles plus the street parking.
Kid-friendliness: Great place for kids!!
Wheelchair accessibility: This place doesn't have wheelchair accessible!
