The Rye bread is absolutely delicious!!!
Picked up some bread and some brownies on Dec 31 for New Year’s Eve. I ended up sick and couldn’t try the brownie until today (2 days later) and even though it was 2 days old it was the best tasting brownie I’ve ever had! Not too sweet, just perfect. Can’t wait to try one fresh if it was that delicious at 2 days old!
I discovered this gem of a local small bakery in torbay today. Have to say, I am very much jealous that I don't live closer to it but pleased it is only a 10-minute drive from St. John's for me.
Went in the morning and everything was still warm from the oven. Couldn't resist and bit into one of the bagels.... my mind and mouth were delighted by the taste. Prices are very reasonable as well. Made me realize how much I miss old school bakeries like this.

Torbakery is a lovely bakery in Torbay known for its excellent quality bread. Customers recommend getting there early as the best products sell out quickly. One reviewer picked up a rustic loaf and an Italian loaf, finding the bread delicious and perfectly accompanied each dish they had, including chili and pea soup. Another reviewer mentioned that the warm bagels were delightful, although they found them a bit thin and hard to chew. Despite sometimes missing out on popular choices when arriving late, visitors agree that the bakery's offerings are worth it. One customer, visiting family nearby, noted that they would have to "test" everything if they lived closer, highlighting the bakery's amazing reputation. Even those who do not live close plan to make this bakery a weekly family treat to support this gem of a local small business.
