We ate salmon many times during our trip through Newfoundland and enjoyed it, but the fresh Atlantic salmon from Dock Marina was a disappointment: dry, warm on the outside and hot on the inside. That is why we determined that it must have been a piece of salmon from the freezer that had been heated in the microwave. I assume it was a one-off miss from the otherwise well-known restaurant.

We had a lovely family dinner at this picturesque restaurant. My family enjoyed all the plates we ordered (kids' fish and chips, kids' grilled cheese, French onion soup, garden salad), while our server was very friendly.I also enjoyed the local beer that our waitress recommended, which was brewed in nearby Port Rexton, while my wife was happy with the glass of the house white wine she ordered. A truly gorgeous setting to have a good meal.We also strolled through the gift shop located one floor up, with its wide selection of local crafts. The wide range of locally-made items was impressive.

This is a simple local Resto over looking the bay.We tried the cod tongues as an appetizer which were nice. We enjoyed the scallops. We had crab claws but we’ve had better…they are not in season now (Aug 30) we found out after the fact. We also had the seafood chowder which is super rich and think. The waitress was very friendly with the local accent we enjoy hearing.
Great place with a fantastic view. The pan fried cod with scrunchions was great!

This is quite a nice restaurant for lunch or dinner. They have an outside patio as well. We ate there three times over the 3 days in Trinity and all were good. Our favorite was the smoked salmon bruschetta, and the seafood platter. The cod-au-gratin was average. Service is nice but it is always busy so be prepared to wait. (they do not take reservations for less than 6 people).
