Wow! What an amazing experience. My wife and I came here for dinner on our honeymoon and it blew our socks off. We sat on the dock with drinks and blankets before our meal taking in the epic view. We then had possibly the best meal of our lives with a fantastic server. If we were not already married, I would have proposed here. My wife and I have traveled the world on land and sea and this place really gave us that warm fuzzy tingle inside. We will be coming back to Newfoundland just to eat here again and you would be a fool not to do the same

As always, the quality of service and food at the Twine Loft was impeccable. All four of us chowed down on Moroccan lamb shanks, bisque, dessert and fine red wine. Another grand 2 hour experience at this well oiled dining establishment. Thanks again folks.

This was an exceptional experience! From the drinks on the water, the views, the outstanding food (best cod on the island) and the phenomenal service. An experience not to be missed!

An exquisite little restaurant- limited menu but the food was fabulous and the service exceptionally friendly and caring. In a building that was originally a twine loft, right on the waterfront, it has been renovated with simplicity and taste to create a warm, easy atmosphere. The meals we had there were among the few 5-star best on our trip.

Our experience was absolutely magical. The weather, view, drinks on the deck, menu choices, decor, wonderful server, ability to accommodate gluten free, food presentation and taste, celebration cards…I could go on. We had an absolutely amazing evening that we will not soon forget.

Our dining experience at Twine Loft was absolute perfection. We had made reservations in advance, and received excellent communication via email about our upcoming dining. The day before we were emailed our 2 options to choose from. My husband chose the pork with the rhubarb chutney and I chose the cod with walnuts. The day of, we arrived 45 minutes early and enjoyed drinks in the sunshine on the deck overlooking the water. At 5:15 we came inside.
We started off with bread and herbed butter, and then were given an option of a soup or salad for appetizer. The soup was apple parsnip - which I never would have thought of as a combo, but was amazing. We then had mains, followed by a Newfoundland Spice Cake with a screech sauce. Absolutely every bite of our meal was exquisite. It is simple Newfoundland ingredients, prepared perfectly. The service was excellent - warm and welcoming from beginning to end.
I would highly recommend dining here.

This dinner was one of the highlights of our trip! We had eight of us so we got to dine privately as a group upstairs. It ended up being a rainy/cloudy evening so we couldn’t do pre dinner drinks on the deck as we intended, however it actually added to the cosy and comfortable ambience perfectly. Service by Roseanne was exceptional, so friendly, we had a great time with her :)
Food was incredible, I had the vegetarian option which was delicious but the rest of the group drooled over their cod and pork options too. Shared some bottles of wine and finished with delicious ginger cake (which we were too full for but forced down anyway because it was that good).
Highly recommend booking a dinner here! Thank you to the staff for making this such a lovely experience.
Vegetarian options: Pine nut and sundried tomato pasta with asparagus - yum!
Dietary restrictions: Easily accommodated and asked about in advance during reservation process.
Parking: Parking right next to building

Elegant dinner with a spectacular seaside view. Drinks on the patio before dinner is a must with cozy chairs and blankets. Menu was thoughtful and felt personalized to our individual preferences. Service was incredible and it felt like we were the only couple in the room. Thank you for the very special evening and would highly recommended a visit.

My partner and I really enjoyed our dinner here. The service was friendly, great atmosphere (especially out on the deck for drinks), and delicious food! However, I wish there were more drink options. They mainly offer beer, wine, and basic cocktails. I would love to see some cocktails that incorporate ingredients that are in season and/or local, like rhubarb, blueberries, etc. We’ll definitely return next time we’re in the area!
