Dick's Fish and Chips is hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside—absolutely delicious. But what really blew me away was the dressing and gravy. Until now, I'd never heard of pairing gravy and dressing with fish and chips, but it was incredible! A unique Newfoundland experience that you can't miss. And to top it off, the ice-cold beer was the perfect complement to the meal. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. Highly recommend!

Staff was great and very approachable! The food was hot and fresh, and the atmosphere was very authentic. You can't go to Bell Island without stopping in!

Was usually a loyal customer to Dicks' and a semi regular to the bar when I lived on the island. Ordered food last night, and the man working the cash had such a weird vibe and attitude. Outside of that, I asked for an order under my name, and was handed an order with another name. I asked for the purchase to be split in two, and as he navigated the tip menu on his card reader, he said "I guess I won't be getting a tip", I had the mind to get up and leave and pay for nothing. After calling the man out for saying the petty comment about the tip, he said something to the effect of me not being from Bell Island, as if this had any bearing on my order or the payment method.
So, to the man working the restaurant cash at 9:29pm September 8th, thanks for making a regular at this restaurant feel uncomfortable, and most of all - unwanted because I'm not from bell island.
It just sucks to be treated like that by staff after being loyal to this restaurant and bar since I've came back to Newfoundland and visiting everytime I come to Bell Island, and ensuring I spread the word about your restaurant to all of my friends, and bringing MANY people who "aren't from Bell Island" to your establishment....
