Dick's Fish and Chips is hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside—absolutely delicious. But what really blew me away was the dressing and gravy. Until now, I'd never heard of pairing gravy and dressing with fish and chips, but it was incredible! A unique Newfoundland experience that you can't miss. And to top it off, the ice-cold beer was the perfect complement to the meal....
Dick’s has the best fish & chips with dressing and gravy out there. The batter was great, the fish melted in my mouth and not greasy in the slightest. The dressing was incredible, I could’ve had a bowl of that alone, and gravy was the best gravy I’ve had! Fries crispy and tasty. Service was fast, such nice staff, not busy on a weekday night, I loved the décor and the music. I got two pieces but I wish I got a third, I didn’t want to stop eating!
We tried many different fish and chips places on our trip across Newfoundland and this place was the best. The fish is so fresh and the gravy is so flavourful. Also this location has been open for so long it really should have historical significance too. Just watch out for seagulls if you decide to watch whales outside while eating
