good food and great service
We moved to Alamogordo from Oxnard, CA 9 days ago. Today is our son's 15th birthday and he wanted sushi for dinner. We just got home from an amazing meal at the Asian Garden. Birthday boy was very happy with his spicy tuna roll (next time he'll order 2 lol), my daughter said her crispy shrimp roll was delicious, hubby's sashimi and seaweed salad made him very happy and my filet mignon and scallops were as tender as butter. Asian Garden serves great food, including the popular crunchy crab roll. The staff are attentive and kind, making an effort to check on customers. Tofu is available to add to all of the dishes, and there are good options for both vegans and non-vegans in the family. Although there have been some issues with food quality and waiting times, including a few extra minutes for reorders, the restaurant is a nice stop for Asian cuisine. The Penang Curry has a sweet and spicy kick with the right amount of tofu, while the Pad Thai is amazing with perfect texture and flavor. The Pad See Ew with chicken is cooked to perfection. The dining area is clean and pleasant, but the bathrooms could use some attention. Though some sushi rolls may not always be available, the meals are fresh, hot, and flavorful, making it worth a visit.
