The place was closed that's why all the negativity. Someday I'll go back.
Mr. Lance does good and is a generous soul! After waiting for BBQ for 1:45 hours in the sun and winds he noticed I was by myself he handed me my food and said go on now. He passed on kindness unexpected by me. Thank you man!!! The short ribs on the to go tray couldn't hold any more than 15 ribs and some corn on the cob, this was my Mother's Day foods! It was very good after I ate my share my dog and the neighbor's three dogs were happy, well behaved and fed. Thank you Lance for the good deed.
One more note Mr. Lance has the best music to keep the day moving. He is a good customer service man. Thanks again for your time.

The meat is delicious, we got brisket, pork, and chicken.
No real menu, you just choose your meats and it’s served however he feels like serving it that day. We got all of our delicious food topped on nachos with cheese, corn and beans.

My first time getting food from here. All I can say is this was worth the wait in line. The decorated trailer has a good southern feel to it. Enjoyed the music being played. Had a menu with some good choices. Really nice gentleman with a good personality. The smoked smell lingering in the air was heavenly. The variety and portion of food was more than expected. Very Good experience and All the food was delicious. If your craving Meat\home cooking this is the place. Money well spent. Will definitely be going back for more.

Best BBQ here in Alamogordo, nobody else even comes close, and Lance is the nicest guy you could possibly meet...always serves generous portions, uses his own homemade sauce recipe, and is an expert on his smoker.

Best. Brisket. Ever!! The brisket stood on its own as it was but the barbecue sauce added a little something special to the brisket sandwich I made. I’d like the recipe! The corn and beans were really good too! Awesome food at a great price with enough leftovers for lunch tomorrow! If I lived in this town I’d be eating here a lot. Convenient location at the Desert Air hotel.
No lie the best barbecue I’ve ever had. We stayed at the Desert Aire Inn right there, so it was very convenient. It’s a different kind of ordering system - you have to order through Desert Aire and bring the order to the truck - but it was easy.ANYWAY, the guy was so friendly and laid-back and stuffed the box to the brim. I had the ribs and my fiancé had the brisket. Both were the juiciest ever, and the barbecue sauce was different but so so good. The corn was also really yummy, but we didn’t like the beans as much as everything else - they were also unique though! If we lived here, we would gain so much weight because we’d eat here like everyday - you have to stop here if you’re visiting!
This young man's chicken wings are out of bounds! My wife did an event at Luna Farms out in Tularosa (look them up also, really good people) and I couldn't stop going back for the chicken! Oh yeah, the other meats are amazing too, but definitely the best smoked chicken I've ever had!
OMG..... if you are in this area you need to stop by this place. The bbq food is beyond delish and smoked. We experienced great customer service from the owner. Also black owned business.

I thought Mad Jack's in Cloudcroft was as good as it could get (and it is damn good), but then I had Lance's brisket and sausage and with no doubts, it's better. You'd be hard pressed to find any nicer guy too!
