They closed permanently in late November, 2021. They were a fantastic barbecue place with decent prices, but the guys said they couldn't keep up with the cost of meat anymore.
I'm sorry but we bought brisket, pulled pork, ribs and sausage. We did eat some brisket and pork but threw the ribs away. Too salty and dry. All meats were very salty. I love bbq but not this. The folks there were nice but that can't overcome bad bbq.
Great BBQ, I'm always sceptical of BBQ joints so I hardly ever go to one, but this place didn't disappoint, the pork ribs were great.
I like this bbq place a lot. The brisket is always pretty good and i feel it's better than Rudy's bbq. Service is always good. The only thing it was missing was a cold beer to go with my brisket sandwich.
Best brisket in Alamogordo! We are new to this area and we have found the best brisket places to get it! We have had dine in and carry out, and have never been disappointed. Big plates, lots of food, amazing staff! We enjoy visiting with them.
We accidentally found this place on our way from White sand National Park to Santa Fe. We got the combo 3&5, pork rib and beef tri tip combos. Due to the increased in beef price, they are charging additional $1 for each meal. Food is delicious. Service is great too. Recommend it. This place is not on the tourist or fast food area of the town but it’s worth the extra two miles drive.
Found the meat less tender than most. Had food delivered and it came without any sauce, so be sure to clarify that when ordering. The potato salad was good. The beans were not my favorite. Tried the cobbler and it was almost too sweet. Portion size was good.
This place is great! The prices are right, and you get a lot of food. The ribs were delicious , the meat came off the bone easily. The sauces accented the great food. Seating outside was nice and roomy!
Terrific BBQ! After a day of touring the Trinity Site, we relaxed with a great BBQ dinner at Can't Stop Smokin'. All the dishes were delicious and the man behind the counter gave us great tips concerning our ordering. Very friendly staff. Can't say enough about this place. It's on our list for any time we are in the area.
Best place for BBQ chicken. Juicy and flavorful. A bit pricey for the serving size is why I don't give 5 stars. Nice staff at drive thru window.

The food was delicious and great portions, friendly and great outdoor seating for our football team.
I got this as a treat before my birthday because, well, it is amazing food. I got the chicken and brisket. I spent my birthday miserably sick with food poisoning that lasted nearly a week. Just recently, my husband went back there (I'll never touch this place again) and got the chicken. Now he's violently ill. This place needs a serious health inspection.
So the meat was passable really. The sides is where they fail. The garlic potatoes were almost inedible while the Cole slaw was dry. The cobbler was a soup with some soggy crust
It's always a toss-up picking lunch on a roadtrip in an unfamiliar city, but this stuff was the bomb! We collectively had pulled pork sandwich, sliced chicken, sliced brisket kids meal, Mac n cheese, awesome corn and potato salad. It did not disappoint. Affordable (for bbq) as well! Great iced tea, and AMAZING chocolate chip cookies. The spicy bbq sauce was my fave - I'm a Tennessee bbq sauce lover. Hubby enjoyed the original... he's a Texas style sauce lover.
It's always a toss-up when choosing lunch in an unfamiliar town on a road trip, but this did not disappoint! We collectively has sliced brisket, sliced chicken, Mac n cheese, corn, rolls, pulled pork sandwich, potato salad, and it was ALL great. The chocolate chip cookies and iced tea were awesome also! I totally recommend.
