My fondest childhood memories were of having Mexican food here with my grandparents. The Ruiz, Armstrong, and Roseberry family always had their lunches together their. I always got rice and beans and a burrito of some sort depending on my mood, but to this day, and perhaps it is romanticized a bit, but I can never find as good of salsa, rice, or beans. No matter where I go, Margo's still holds the bar as high as my grandmother's cooking. I remember the peppermint patties...
Thank goodness they were open everything else was closed. They were very lovely snd helpful, the enchiladas were great. The ground beef potato green Chile was awsome says my husband. 5 stars and the price was not expensive at all.
Best Mexican Food in Alamogordo! An authentic taste of the southwest, full of local flavor and tradition! It's so good that I used to have dreams about Margo's red sauce during the 10 years I lived in Florida I missed it so much. A friend even overnighted me some of Margo's Chili Rellenos once I was so home sick for real Mexican food.
