The space is amazing. You feel like stepping in to a retro era, seeing things from all throughout the years, a perfect thin pizza as your enjoying the scenery, and it's best paired at night, so you can hop over next to for the quarter archade!

I grew up with this place in during the late 70s through the 80s and two location changes. Miss the pizza, the sandwiches and most of all, the antipasto salad. I'm glad they're still going strong. Might have to take a road trip from Tucson.

The Macho and The Garbage Barge were absolutely delicious. Canadian bacon made the entire meal. The perfect cheese and sauce ratio with generous toppings. A great Alamogordo gem. No beer or taps FYI

Great place to get a sub. We were on a roadtrip through NM and stopped in here. Service was quick and friendly. Looked pretty nostalgic inside. I got the Italian sub and it was so good after driving all day.

Tl/Dr: Messed up our order. Fixed it. Mediocre at best. Garlic bread wasn’t even worth trying. 2/5 won’t be back.

Decided to try Pizza Mill for the first time after hearing some good things from coworkers. Sadly disappointed. Ordered over the phone, Garbage barge (no olives) and a garlic bread with cheese, and then picked up at their drive up window. Got home and realized the garlic bread with cheese was 3 small-medium pieces of toast with garlic butter and a tiny sprinkle of mozz. That costs $6.75? That’s $2.25 per piece…absolutely not worth it. Then opened the pizza to find it covered in olives. Headed back to the restaurant to get it fixed. Was greeted quickly and I explained the issue with the pizza. The gentleman reviews my ticket and says that whoever took the order didn’t write ā€œno olivesā€ but they could remake it, although it would take about 20 mins. They were busy and there’s a lot of toppings on the pizza so 20 mins was reasonable. Decided to wait it out because we really wanted to try this place. I then brought up the issue with the garlic bread and asked if this is how they normally make it, with only a tiny bit of cheese and the gentleman helping me simply refunded the $6.75 in cash (did not refund the tax but whatever, it’s like 67Ā¢). You could tell he was frustrated, but i get it (i guess?). I took my cash and went and waited for my remake pizza. Bought a fountain drink for $2.50 while I waited. Saw a bunch of food come out while I waited and none of it was pizza (mostly sandwiches it seemed). Was curious why no one was getting the pizza but I soon figured out why. Got my pizza in like 18 mins. The guy who brought it out apologized because he’s the one who took the order and I explained it was fine and things happen, we were just excited to try this place. Got home and dug in…Pizza was mediocre at best. With so many different toppings I’m not sure how it tasted so bland. Everything just fell flat when it came to flavor and freshness. Basically just saltiness from the meat and a crunch from the crust. You can also tell they were in a rush to remake it and get it out of the oven, probably could’ve used another 3-5 mins baking to finish off the toppings. Or maybe throw it in a broiler to finish off so you don’t over cook the crust? The crust was decent, very crispy and cracker like, and was basically the only good thing about this. But man…for a $25 medium pizza this was sad. Maybe a simple pepperoni would be better…still not sure as the sauce lacked flavor and the cheese was barely enough to cover the pizza (see photo for all the open red spots across the pizza where there’s no cheese). Unfortunate experience at a small town pizza joint that we were very excited to try. Will try out somewhere else and won’t be back here any time soon unless they revamp the menu.

Great local pizza/sub place! Tons of selection, homey atmosphere, dedicated staff, AND an 80s-90s themed arcade right next door! Literally an entire night out.

Place has good food but owners and even one employee are rude people. Such a shame the younger workers who help to keep this place running are way nicer than these folks. Don’t bring kids here who are toddlers they will rudely stare at you if your child is making what all kids do which is noise. There has even been a Facebook post about this place where the employee will talk bad about you for trying to give them business. Then delete it off their Facebook post after someone called them out for the rudeness. A whole lot of people from town even agree with how unprofessional this establishment is with how they handle business. Food is amazing but just cause you have good food doesn’t mean you can treat your customers like garbage. Ps if your family is 5 people you may not be welcomed either.

Good food. Horrible customer service. Providing basic customer service seems like a major inconvenience to them. Will not go back as long as the rude manager is there.

Older gentleman is extremely rude. Walked in with my family of 8, ready to eat. We were told by that guy that our order would be too big and take too long, and to go elsewhere. Never again. Time for a new hometown pizza and sub shop.
