My family and I relocated here in November and Rocket came highly recommended! Chinese food is one of our absolute favorites! It's conveniently located right off of the main drag in Alamogordo. There's always plenty of parking, even during the busy hours. Once upon a time, Rocket was a dine in buffet but that has changed. The owner is always present and she's so welcoming and down to earth. The food is still set up in a "buffet" style except you serve yourself in a to go tray. I love this service as it allows me to get a lot or little of different foods. Everything is always so fresh and absolutely delicious! One of my favorite dishes is the pepper shrimp! The food is weighed and it's very reasonable!

Pickedup some food from here. The women owner there was very rude and gave me really bad attitude.( not sure if it was my skin or not) anyways...Don't go there. The food was bad, service was bad.

The rocket has increased its menu to include tofu and other dishes. I love the snow shrimp. Their vegetable lo mein is always very good. Spring rolls are great as well. With We deliver Alamo, order is always accurate. Thank you rocket.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options. Fried rice, lo mein, spring rolls, tofu.

I don’t understand how they have such a high rating when they don’t have dine-in but call themselves a buffet. The food is just as mediocre as any other Asian inspired American food. It was also a little old and kinda soggy. I probably would have given them 2 or 3 stars if the food was fresher and they allowed dine-in so you could get all you could eat. Otherwise change your business model to by the plate.

The food is great. Best chinese-american cuisine you'll find in this small town. I highly recommend anyone new to try the teriyaki chicken skewers, general tso chicken, orange beef, fried rice, and lo-mein. Reasonable price and good portions. Compared to all the 2-3 other places my wife and i tried, this is the place to order good take take-out.
