What a wonderful Rt 66 atmosphere and vibe. I had the hamburger with green chilies and a side salad. My husband had the chicken fried chicken with red sauce. The place was hopping but seated right away and water delivered just after sitting down. The parking was like a slide puzzle though.🤣
My biggest take away from this diner was the cleanliness of the place especially the silverware!!! 🥈
This is one my my go to spots for my lunch breaks. I always come into a clean and sanitary environment. I have never found a dirty dish or dirty utensils. The tables are always clean and the food is always great. I have been coming to 66 diner for about a year now and never had a bad experience!!
This is a classic staple of the Albuquerque and the vibes are great here. I haven't been here in a while but glad I stopped in . The dishes and silver ware were in extremely clean and proper condition. And oh man the food was so delicious when I stopped in today. Hats off to every one from dishwasher to the chef , great team and environment.
Love the food and atmosphere!
Unfortunate review but it must be done. My sister and I rolled through Albuquerque for a day and a half, had dinner here and I’m still thinking about how terrible my chicken sandwich was 24 hours later. I’m sorry to be so brutal! My sister had a burger which was also pretty bad. Both were completely unseasoned, her fries were cold, and my chicken was, and I’m 100% truthful, wet. Dripping with liquid, and again, unseasoned. I drenched it in ranch and had maybe half of the sandwich, but unfortunately the ranch wasn’t very seasoned either. Maybe it’s me and my sister’s southern taste that has us thinking both meals were nasty, but I wanted to pass along this information for any other traveler. The server was a delight, but was present maybe 3 minutes out of our 40 minute sitting. The atmosphere was a hoot and a half, beautiful and eclectic and retro. Darn shame this was our experience and the dinner we had after 11 hours of travel, but maybe it was an off day. Regardless, both of our handhelds were $15 dollars which is astronomical for terrible food and absent service. I wish the best for this restaurant — just be aware travelers.
Good place to get desserts! They were really busy, but the waitress did a decent job.
Love the theme, food was great.
Perfect mix of retro and good comfort food!
Always a positive experience at this retro diner. We always order their 66 Diner Meat Loaf Deluxe with mushrooms, onions & brown gravy, mashed potatoes, cornbread.

Darryn was absolutely amazing! She is so friendly and so kind hearted. Plus the food was so good and so fresh tasting. Everything was perfect and on point. Piper's Teeny Weeny Hot Fudge Sundae was just the perfect amount of sweetness after being so full from this wonderful meal.
Overall, the food was great, the prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. This is definitely a good restaurant.
Ordered queso & chips, queso tasted burnt. Replaced it with salsa, blended tomatoes with salt. Burger was meh and the mashed potatoes had a very 'processed ' taste. 66 no longer has the red cream soda either. Disappointing visit. It will a long time before I return.
Fun route 66 diner with good food
Worst experience ever servers acted like it was a hassle to seat us forced 5 pople into a booth we sat in the booth for 30 mins not 1 server came to get a drink order or anything they walked past us multiple times and just looked at us! We finally left after being ignored for so long. Spoke highly of the restaurant to some first timers and that was the experience they recieved will not recommend ever again!!!
