The bouncer was very rude. My friend set his drink on the pool table for one second to retrieve the ball that fell off the table. The bouncer told him “not to be an asshole” when he tried to explain the situation. I don’t think it is professional to be throwing profanities around about guests. All he needed to say was to not do that again. Really ruined our night.

I really love all the bartenders, but tn i think it was a new bouncers first day and i tested my lighter as i was walking out for a smoke and when i came back he said i wasn’t allowed back in. i knew he was new so that wasn’t the end of the world but when i tried to call my friend to let her know i wasn’t allowed back in he yelled and said i wasn’t allowed to “loiter” in the stairwell. i’m honestly really disappointed because i bartend nearby and i go to anodyne pretty consistently and i loved everyone that worked there but after tonight im really not sure if im going back :(

This place was recommended to me by a couple of pool-players at Dragon Horn Tavern. No paper towels in the men's room makes me slightly nervous. Does that mean everyone coming out of there with dry hands has not washed them? First place in town that I've found with Lone Star. The long neck is $4 here, which is not bad.

Unprofessional and there’s a an older girl with glasses who hates her job and life cause she is MISERABLE. all the workers aren’t nice besides one bouncer won’t be supporting that business. I have lived in ABQ my whole life and Anodyne used to be a spot that I would regularly go to. But now they have this bouncer that is incredibly rude. Was rude to me and the whole group I was with. Ego trip this one was on and I think giving him a position of power such as bouncer is not a good fit for him. Will change rating once I see this place go back to the vibes that it once was.

This bouncer is getting sued for aggravated assault and a police report/criminal complaint with APD has been fired. I was asked to leave for “walking around alone without a drink” - even though I had ordered 2 drinks and was in line for a third. I asked him if there’s a policy against standing and walking around, and then he said “there is now and you have to leave”. I calmly asked to speak to the manager or get his owners contact information, and he became very rude and aggressive and put me in a chokehold. He then pushed me down the stairs, and when I took out my phone at the entrance to record him to submit evidence of my assault, he pepper sprayed me in the eyes. This left horrible burns on my skin and blindness for hours. Bouncers in New Mexico are only allowed to use physical force if I was causing a physical or verbal threat to someone, and I was simply just talking. This violates Chapter 30, Article 20, Section 30-12 of New Mexico code. The bouncers here straight up assault people for no reason and violate state laws, and APD said this is illegal and I have very valid grounds for an assault charge against this man. This person and bar will be held legally responsible for their actions. I see it’s been happing to several other people here as well.

Bouncer was absolutely terrible. Turns out it’s not just me either…so many reviews are written about him. He was very pushy and creepy towards my friend and I, ruined the whole experience and we ended up leaving early.
Been here before, had a great experience prior. Last time I had went the door dude was a complete ahole. Told me I couldn’t come in and accused me of having a fake ID?? Made it a point to try and get everyone’s attention while doing so too. I just walked out because i don’t want to be somewhere i don’t feel welcomed. Really bad experience not sure if the dude recognizes me or if it was just discrimination, but it was absolutely an awful experience. I would invest in better bouncers or at least ID scanners but it was the short door guy with an eyebrow piercing. Really changed how I viewed this place, the manager should definitely look into all these discrimination reviews it’s kind of alarming.
