The only place I've found in ABQ that has a fair amount of normal people out during the week. Awesome vibes. HOWEVER, hard stop at 1130p - music off bright lights on and everything. So essentially closes at 1130p. Shame too it's wasted revenue because I counted no less than 55 people in there on a WEDNESDAY night. Fifty-Five.
Never had any food here. But they do dive bar basics all correctly. Lots of bottled beer, options and cheap rail drinks as well as good size shots. A chill place on the weekdays or a crowded pool Hall bar on the weekends. Not a place to miss if you’re walking around Central looking for a cool place.
If I could give 10 stars I would. Was my second home for many years that I'm returning to- its a wasteland out there of rude self loathing corporate service workers but Anodyne has always stayed true to its name and service as an actual anodyne.
Parking: Its downtown so get over it and dont risk violating parking rules down here or you will be victim of a rackateering downtown parking system.
