Update 12/13/26 - still a great place! Been eating here since 1981. One of the few restaurants in ABQ that has maintained consistency and didn’t go down the tubes after COVID. We love this place! The food is always great, the servers are wonderful and amazing especially Adriane, Omar and Donna! Kudos to Gerri and the staff!!! They are always welcoming, friendly, competent and top notch!
Update: 11/26/24 - we’ve been eating here almost going back to the beginning (opened in 1978 I believe, I first ate there at age 21 in 1981). We eat here as often as we can (we live about 25 minutes away) - usually 3x/month. The service is always great ..our favorite servers are Adriana, Omar, and Donna if you want a laugh- they’re all good though! Gerri, the owner, is super friendly as well, always making you feel welcome. The food remains consistent - always great. A true ABQ iconic restaurant.

This place is a classic and community staple for a reason. It’s a must visit for whenever I’m in the neighborhood. Even something as simple as pinto beans with green chile and a warm tortilla on the side is just so good and comforting. You cannot go wrong with what you order!

Comfort food for kings on a budget. The beef enchiladas were so delicious and their flour tortillas so fluffy and tasty 🤤 The red chilli is quite spicy but very delicious, if that’s not your thing the green one is also so very tasty. No fuss quality straightforward service, everyone was lovely but don’t expect fancy. We loved it all 🌶️💘

If you are craving delicious New Mexico food this is the place. The food is delicious, prices are affordable and large servings. Will go eat there again.
I'm stuck on just a few dishes, they're so good: Huevos Rancheros Frijoles & Green Chile Chicharones Menudo Pure. Im so glad they offer this. Posole (hominy) plays he'll with my blood sugar, so I really appreciate that I can get a bowl just menudo chile. Their fat/thick flour Tortillas are to die for. Don't forget to buy a dozen on your way out.
