Sad food. This was the first time in a very long time since I have eaten at Barela's coffee house. The atmosphere was very busy, and our group was seated at the worst spot, leaving the person at the end of the table to continually get out of the way of the work staff. The waitress was excellent and made sure we were taken care of. The food was horrible. Bland no heat red chile, they do not served refried beans or sopapillas. Won't be back.

Menudo Pure. Im so glad they offer this. Posole (hominy) plays he'll with my blood sugar, so I really appreciate that I can get a bowl just menudo chile.
Their fat/thick flour Tortillas are to die for. Don't forget to buy a dozen on your way out.
