We went for a Mother's Day brunch. The food was alright, better if it was more than a basic breakfast food. You can get a better breakfast anywhere else, also Dennys won't break your bank. The worst part of this dining experience, which cost $100 a person, was the utter disregard for any accommodations for allergies. We called 3 to 4 days ahead of time, explained the allergies, and the staff assured us that there would be a list of foods that contained the allergen. We arrived at the restaurant, got seated, and were then told that there was a staff meeting. At the meeting, it was decided that no list would be made due to cross contamination.I understand that in buffet style dining, it is impossible for the restaurant to guarantee no contact. But to refuse a list of dishes that could contain a potential trip to the ER...The restaurant looked great.

Very disappointed, never one to complain but...This place used to be one of my favorites. The renovations they did during Covid are horrible. As soon as we got off the elevator and saw the new layout, it was total disappointment. Used to there were several dining tables along the windows to view all the gorgeous views of Sandia. It's now set up as a lounge. Dining room has like 3 tables with the Mountain View.WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?The drinks...my martini came in pretty much a shot glass...but was good. The food...VERY limited menu.Caprese Salad came late after told there were no more available. When it did show up, tomatoes were paper thin, mozzarella was slime....the toast with it was wonderfulMy steak undercooked...but flavored well, greens over the mash potatoes like they were just thrown on and the mashed potatoes was pretty thin, almost runny. His steak...overcookedLobster tail was deliciousServe very niceOverpriced for quality to say the least.Head over to Junipers at Santa Ana Star Casino for overall better visit.

Hands down, the most memorable dining experience of my life, all thanks to the incredible service provided by Diana. Her attentiveness throughout the meal was unparalleled, ensuring every need was met with a smile. Now for the tomahawk steak. It was truly the most delicious steak I've ever had the pleasure of devouring. Thank you to the chef who cooked the steak to perfection. If you're lucky enough to have Diana as your waitress, consider yourself in for a treat. Can honestly say this was the best dining experience of my life, 10/10, would dine again.

Not what we expected from sliders or crab cakes. Service was polite and the atmosphere is nice.

Terrible service (or lack thereof). They sat us down and immediately forgot that we exist at all. Guests who came later than us were already getting their appetizers and meals, meanwhile my boyfriend (at the time) and I never got so much as a glass of water. We sat and waited for at least 30 minutes before a random waiter FINALLY recognized my boyfriend, and asked if we needed something. Oh yeah, what adds insult to injury, is that my then-boyfriend actually worked for the company at the time, and was treated to a complimentary dinner to review the quality. Hmm, I wonder how that went! Then they overcompensated for forgetting us, by having two servers and their manager constantly hovering over the table, apologizing profusely, and interrupting our meal to ask if we want anything else. Of course that just made the situation even more painfully awkward and uncomfortable. It was supposed to be a cute romantic date, but I was so embarrassed, humiliated, and frustrated that the whole entire night was ruined. The food itself was mid. I got a mushroom stroganoff that tasted like the food had all been canned and/or frozen. The sole redeeming quality was the magnificent view of the mountains at sunset. But even that wasn't enough to make up for such a profoundly unpleasant experience. This incident happened a few years ago, but it upset me so much, that it still makes my skin crawl to this day.

Well planned out location and atmosphere. Good food and fair prices for the food. Chefs have changed a few times but they keep it up to par.

This is the most elegant restaurant venue in Albuquerque. It is definitely a $$$ venue, but well worth the visit. We visited to celebrate my husbands birthday. He had a beautiful celebration starting with a Happy Birthdsy greeting at our Mountain View table. You could see all the way to Jemez mountains (snow capped at our visit) and Santa Fe. We arrived at sundown, timing is very important if you wish to experience this . We arrived at 5 pm opening on a mid January evening. Service is impeccable, food was good to great. My husband had the piñon encrusted Chilean sea bass. I had the filet mignon. My husband liked his, but ate little of the orzo or sauce that accompanied the main dish. My filet was melt in your mouth, well cooked based on my instructions, mashed potatoes were super creamy, broccolini and asperagus perfect. We started with salads, he had the carrot and kale, I had the 9th floor wedge. Mine was exceptional! I actually liked that more than my main dish. We also opted for dessert. There are only three choices. I had the panna cotta, my husband had the chocolate/hazelnut torte. I loved the panna cotta, light, creamy delicious. It was served with gran marnier ice cream. Super yummy. The passion fruit drizzle topped it off! We also had a bottle of wine (as expensive as one of our dinners). The restaurant is attached to the bar/lounge. That is an option: you can go there for a drink, to get the view, likely less expensive. But definitely make a visit!

The executive chef, Dennis is amazing! Therefore every item on the menu was carefully cultivated for the best food experience. Meat and fish cooked exactly the way you want. The views from the top made you feel a part of nature. And the service was perfection.

One of the best dining experiences, if not the best I have ever had. We had an early dinner New Year’s Eve night and it was very memorable. Chef Denis came by the table to say hi and was amazing. Anthony was a great server and very attentive and helpful.

Recently visited Bien Shur while visiting family and had an amazing experience dining here. The waitstaff were friendly and helpful. We tried a several dishes. We stared with the Burrata Caprese and Beef Carpaccio. LOVED the Burrata Caprese as it was well balanced with the decadence of the Burrata with the freshness of the tomatoes to the well balanced sherry sauce to tie it all together. For our entrees, we had Tomahawk Steak, Pan Seared Scallops with Lobster Tail. My favorite was the tomahawk steak as it well cooked and seasoned for being such a large cut of meat. The tempura mushrooms with it was nice and light but still had a nice crispiness to it. For dessert, we had the Passion Fruit Coconut Panna Cotta which I was a big fan of! It was a nice light dessert to finish off the night. Overall highly recommend!

First time at this restraint. My wife and I went to Sandia Resort to eat at the sports bar. It was closed. So up to fine dining we went. The view to the west looked out at the mesas and to the east, the Sandias. Ambiance appropriate for fine fining. Service (Lisa) was excellent as she knew the right timing of coming by.The chef came out and interacted with guests. He explained his philosophy, much I forget. But he has studied at some fine restaurants. He combines textures and tastes in his dishes. Sweet and bitter in sauces. Crunchy and creamy where you don’t expect it.Menu is the right size for options. I recommend.

My boyfriend took me here to celebrate my birthday and I couldn't be happier with our experience! The combination of the view of the Sandias + Chef Dennis's finesse in technique and flavor makes Bien Shur my #1 fine dining spot in all of Albuquerque. We got to try a tomahawk ribeye steak, blue lump crab cakes, and their pan seared scallops. You can taste the ingenuity in every bite! Being able to eat here was one of the highlights of my special day. Needless to say, we will be back!
