This place is cool. I was initially resistant to trying it due to being repulsed by blood sausage itself, but my husband kept suggesting we go. The menu has nice vegetarian options and the food is tasty. The atmosphere is totally bitchin’ - low lighting and good, loud music, e.g. Cramps, Bad Brains, etc., in the old Kai’s space. The buzzers that tell you your food is ready are in VHS horror movie boxes. Can’t wait to go back.

Poorly cooked, room temperature small portioned, quite pricey blood sausages. The meat had a rare, mushy texture. Even the meat in the sandwiches was mushy! The truffles fries were good though. But, still expensive. :(

How quirky - an 80s horror themed restaurant called Blood Sausage that serves blood sausage! When I went, they had 3 varieties to choose from, and I tried the Taiwanese blood sausage rice cake. Deliciously mild and flavorful. I’ve always enjoyed blood sausage growing up, and my two friends who have never tried it before thought it was delicious, too. The atmosphere makes it an entertaining night out, especially if this particular genre interests you. Walking distance from UNM Main Campus.

Awesome new place in ABQ. Such a fun theme... and the food was fantastic (we had the blood sausage, truffle fries and chicken sandwich)! The staff were really cool and nice to talk to. Looking forward to seeing how this place develops. Definitely plan on going back.

Don't listen to these lightweights! Food was amazing, never had blood sausage before and was not disappointed! Yes, it can get pricey, but it's gourmet food!! Staff was sooo friendly, and the atmosphere was spot on! Will be going back to try more!

What a fun place to go. We had a blast! The food was so delicious. We had the Hot Chicken Sandwich with Truffle Fries, so savory. The Portobello Fries were probably my favorite. We also tried the chilled noodles, great flavor. They have some very nice beers on tap.Tried a couple of their beers, very tasty.Heard they are going to have a beer garden in the back this Summer, cant wait. This same couple has another great restaurant in Santa Fe called Liu Liu Liu.Love them both!

The theme is cool. I’d like to add that I really really was hoping the reviews before me were wrong. The Blutwurst had a great taste but is the size of a mini donut so make sure you order a side of portobello fries or truffle fries (which were good and easy to eat). The chicken sandwich was oily. Which I think was on purpose to give it a exsanguinating look, maybe? The chicken itself was fine… it’s blackened on purpose (I hope). Bread was soggy from the oil?The Brunch Burger was not it. The patty had the same consistency as the bread which was soggy… warning the egg was cooked over easy which would’ve been fine if the egg white had been cooked thru. The fried snickers… when I think fried I think crunchy or that just me? There was a cream on top which I couldn’t tell what it was because I couldn’t taste a flavor.“Modifications will be politely declined” and the food is pricey for what you get. They’re opening the patio with a Camp Crystal Lake vibe which I’d like to go back for. When we go back it’ll be for the theme and truffle fries.

We were really excited for this place, but the food and service were not it. The burgers were absolutely greasy and disgusting, with one still raw in the middle. The grilled cheese was completely burned on one side and they threw it away when told about it and did not offer a replacement. It’s completely over priced and you will wait for hours in the line for anything. Such a let down and waste of money.

Fun atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was super expensive and disappointing. Couple bites was all we could get down, kids were sick the next day. Will not be going back.

I highly recommend the noodles. They're a great veggie option! Everyone there, especially one of the owners, was really nice and professional. It's a fun place to hang out, too!

I was really hoping for better... The concept is cool for sure but the food just wasn't it. We had a variety of food in our party of 4 and none of it was really good. It was also very pricy. For 2 entrees, a side of fries, a beer, and 1 Pepsi we paid nearly 50 bucks.

Cool concept. Sadly one of the worst chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life though. Tasted like a bad combination of breading, old grease, and dirty fireplace. Both diners took one bite and decided not to eat any more. Portabella fries were a little better, palatable at least. No one in the party cared to go back. The beers were excellent.
