Absolutely the very best European style bread in Albuquerque - rustic baguette. Sourdough is great and has a culture with fascinating local origins. Delicious fresh-baked cookies - we're a little crazy for the ginger molasses. Sweet and savory empanadas are definitely worth it.

A great small place with amazing pastries and bread!!! A must try.
They don't have social media which I love, so you just have to trust me and go try this place! I buy bread from them every week now!

Any baked good I've ever had at BBC has been on par with the best baked goods I've ever had around the world. Especially the mini pies. Really fantastic artisans. But--and this is a sad but--the service is just so poor. In the dozens of times I've been, any person I've interacted with or watched interact with others treats animals and their inanimate equipment better then the human beings they serve. A huge bummer. I really want this business to be a brighter light in this city.

The old world rye sourdough bread and the south valley sourdough are excellent. The savory and sweet empanadas were nice and flaky with delicious fillings. We also enjoyed the cookies a lot. This is a nice local downtown bakery worth buying baked goods from. The prices are also reasonable. However, each time we have visited the lady behind the counter has had an off-putting demeanor. It’s always a bit confusing as to why she seems so annoyed that we want to purchase goods from them.

Good bread - owners need to work on their friendliness- being from San Francisco- I asked of sour dough was “ chewy” it seemed I inconvenienced them with the questionWill still buy bread there
