If you haven't tried Buen Provecho in Albuquerque, you're missing out on an opportunity to eat 5 star food in our crazy little town. It's ridiculous. They have been nominated for a James Beard award, and the coffee is so good it brought tears to my eyes. Literally.

They make great beans and I love the salad.
They were out of the vegan tamale I wanted so I ordered the casado instead which was so delicious and fresh. The plantains were my favorite part 😋
Their food is Awesome and different than our traditional food! I've only used them to Cater and haven't been to the restaurant, but they always do a fantastic job catering events for me! I'd highly recommend them!

Very nice little restaurant. Service was quick—you go up to the counter to order and they bring it to the table. Food was great. My wife had the vegetarian bowl while I had the vegetarian tamales. Both were excellent but we decided the tamales were better. Very good lunch stop.

I really had a good time and came with a very large group. Food was delicious, staff were helpful and very nice. All around a fabulous experience.
Vegetarian options: Queso Frito was very good. Dipping sauces were excellent and a large variety.

The food was excellent! I also loved how beautifully it was presented; it added a nice touch. We were a bit confused by the menu at first, as we weren’t familiar with Costa Rican cuisine, which made it difficult to choose. But in the end, everything turned out great!

Lived in Costa Rica for about a year, and this restaurant brings me back every time I eat there. Fantastic cuisine served by incredibly warm people. Highly recommend
This little Costa Rican gem has blossomed into a must-try. The star duo?
Undoubtedly, the tamales, wrapped in banana leaves, are a heartwarming embrace of flavor. The potato-enriched masa, a cloud-like texture, cradles a generous, hearty filling of your choice. We tried the chicken and vegetarian tamales, both scrumdiddlyumptious. And the empanadas - a crispy, golden, gluten-free revelation of beef and potato, perfectly fried and utterly satisfying. Beyond these highlights, the transformation of the space is remarkable. A once-casual counter has been reborn as a cozy, elegantly designed dining haven, where the inviting atmosphere perfectly complements the exceptional, piping hot dishes served quickly. From the delectable desserts to the warm atmosphere, this restaurant delivers a truly delightful taste of Costa Rica.

Fantastic spot along Historic Route 66. Cozy interior with plenty of outdoor space. Easy to navigate menu, wonderful staff, and just awesome food. I had the burrito, which was layered with beans, sweet plantains, rice, and egg, and not too spicy salsa. Loved this spot, and excited to hear they’ll be adding chilaquiles to the menu!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐
Absolutely amazing! This restaurant truly took us back to our time in Costa Rica with its fresh, authentic flavors and warm, friendly service. We had the beef and potato empanada, which was perfectly crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The carnitas and pollo Casado were to die for—so flavorful and cooked to perfection.
The decor is lovely and inviting, making the experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone craving a true taste of Costa Rica!
