Busy Bee Frozen Custard

This place is excellent definitely recommend it has real ice cream and not that fake stuff that all the other ones are serving you definitely want to stop in on this one it's good and healthy Old fashioned ice cream love it

I haven't had frozen custard this good since I left Wisconsin.

Family of 4 here - we all enjoyed our frozen custard very much! Chocolate custard with sprinklers for the littles. Mint chip and cookies and cream for me. Coffee and vanilla for my husband. All the flavors were delicious and such a creamy, pleasant texture. The young guy behind the counter was running the show by himself and did a great job at being quick but also friendly. We will be back!

Had it at summerfest. There was a huge piece of parchment paper in my scoop. I was so sad..

The texture of the ice cream was smooth and velvety, which I really enjoyed. However, I was expecting more than just a basic custard made with liquid flavoring and food dye for coloring—especially at $8 for two very small scoops, which were gone in just a few bites. To put it in perspective, my standard cookie dough scoop at home gives larger portions.
I think the overall experience would be greatly improved by adding mix-ins that match the flavor profile and provide some texture. For example, butter toffee would be much more enjoyable with real toffee pieces; a strawberry flavor could benefit from real chunks of fruit; and green mint chip would be more satisfying with more than just two Nestlé chocolate chips per scoop.
The base is lovely, but a bit more creativity and substance could really take it to the next level and justify the cost.

Stopped by the 4th street location this afternoon, got to say it’s possible that this is the best custard I’ve ever eaten and the gentleman behind the counter was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable

10/10! This place was absolutely delicious. The custard was incredibly creamy and delightful, and the service was amazing. We tried a variety of treats, including the vanilla cone, a root beer float with vegan custard, a dirt and worms sundae, and blended coffee. Every single item was perfect. This is officially our new favorite dessert spot!

Wow!! Sooo yummy. Since moving to NM I haven’t found amazing ice cream yet until today! Highly recommend this place, buttered toffee was the best flavor but they were amazing.

I visited Busy Bee Frozen Custard in Los Ranchos the day before New Year’s Eve, and it was a delightful experience! The shop was quiet, but the owner was incredibly kind and friendly. She let me sample a few flavors before I chose one of their festive Christmas flavors in a waffle cone. The custard was so creamy and smooth—absolutely delicious! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and can’t wait to return to try more flavors. Highly recommend checking this place out!
