So I had to update my review because I got pretty awful service, in fact I doubt I'll be back. One of the ladies who I believe to be an owner made fun of me. She was an older lady with either brown or brunette hair. I was describing a dish I wanted and she mocked me and chuckled, right in my face. She left my drink empty the majority of the meal, and took 19 minutes to bring my check after I'd asked the other server because the owner/waitress wasn't anywhere to be seen. I timed it. There were 3 other tables, it wasn't busy just bad service. I definitely received the message that my money isn't wanted or valued here. I won't be back..... The wait staff is much better, previously I'd left no less than $20 tips.

It's ok. Sauce tasted like store bought jar sauce. Soup was not very good. It's not terrible it's just sub-par. Dessert was pretty good. The inside dining area hasn't been remodeled since the 70s or 80s and needs a MAJOR remodel. The menu has way too many items on it. That's probably why the food is sub-par. Instead of mastering a handful dishes and having good specials, they have a book for a menu. I understand having variety but that's what specials provide. The patio is nice. I'm sure summer nights are beautiful to get a glass of wine and dessert.

Customer service was great, food was meh. Watery sauce flavorless chicken. Saving grace were the cheese sticks homemade and yummy!

Love love love this place! My family and I have been coming here for over 30 years. This place has THE best Italian food. I definitely recommend the 3 combination plate. Get a mix of alfredo and meat sauce. You can thank me later!! Gio and Dan always take of us and everyone who walks through the gates to the beautiful garden area (great for outdoir dining.) The to go is just as good as eating there, so don't hesitate to order take out if you aren't ready to eat at a restaurant. Five starts for food, service, and hospitality!

Capo's is a locally owned business that has been in Albuquerque for years. The sisters who own it appreciate their customers. Even with the hard times they have endured during this pandemic they greet you with a smile when you arrive and will take the time to come to your table and ask how you are like family. The food is great and the atmospher, especially the outside dinning is cozy and comfortable. We will continue to support them and hope others will come and see how great this place is.

We had a seat in the inside patio, very nice decor with a few heaters. The menu featured more than the basics but I was in the mood for a good homemade lasagna.as I was reading the menu, a few things caught my attention which I hadn't considered. There's a 'make your option which worked just fine. I chose the lasagna, with a couple other different choices I had not tried before. That first bite...oh the tomato sauce itself was just awesome. It wasn't that sweet flavour red sauce we see everywhere, just throw in some oregano and sent out. This was something which was simmered with just the herbs by those who actually knew Italian food and it was THAT obvious in it's flavour and presentation. Our daughter was looking at the decor, tasted her Chicken Parmesan and said ' everything about this restaurant is like we'really in Italy. ( I guess she gets it from a sleep overs any her Italian friends). We all agreed it's OUR place for Italian.

Capo's is an icon! Their patio dining is charming and you can't help but love the sisters who run the place. Have their Capo's special - it's my favorite!

We actually had take away from here about two weeks ago, but memories of good food linger and our latest trip to Capo's was particularly memorable. Capo's has a great atmosphere and it will be wonderful when it warms up a bit in Burque and their crazy cool patio is just slightly more appealing than it already is ... that's to say that the place is so inviting that the idea of eating out in that sparkly patio paradise seems plausible even in the depths of winter. The staff is friendly and it's clear they care about the restaurant. When we got home with our meals we discovered very lovingly prepared repasts, ready to go.The green chile cheese bread is a great appetizer, among many. The unique taste of this starter comes from a green chile pesto that is rich and piquant. She had the baked manicotti. The sauce was freshly made, slightly sweet and totally diggable.I had the Italian Beef Sandwich with Au Jus. I can't believe I ate the whole thing.Capo's is one of those locally owned downtown businesses that has struggled during the pandemic because so many jobs left the area. Things seem to be on the upswing though and with spring coming, there are plenty of reasons to have a meal at Capo's deluxe patio or for take away like we did.

Very nice outdoor dining space and very good service at this classic Italian restaurant with a long history.Note: we are from out of town, so we reserve 4 stars for places we visit every time we are in ABQ. Standard Diner (closed) and Pasqual’s in Santa Fe for example.

This restaurant is consistently OUTSTANDING! Super warm and cozy heated patio during the pandemic restrictions. The menu is extensive and reasonably priced. The portions are HUGE! The food is absolutely delicious and served piping hot. The staff is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is beautiful! I especially love the romantic patio at night! I can never decide what to order, so I almost always get the Build Your Own Combo. They also have a full bar. You can’t go wrong with this restaurant! You absolutely have to try it!!

in my opinion best true Italian food in town, we love everything on the menu.the cheese cake is awesome, and other things we have tried have always been awesome.i love that it stays looking original and even though downtown has got kinda bad with homeless and trash, they keep the dining experience great...the place has so many different sitting areas and is an awesome place for dinner party or large groups they have many areas that they can close off to make a great experience...
