Great food. Excellent service. Friendly staff. Always clean. Central Grill is the go-to Grill and coffee house in Albuquerque.

I really wanted to like this place. I’m sorry but the food is a flop.. we ordered a variety of things and really didn’t like any of it.. even scrambled eggs were tough, I’m pretty sure I was eating canned beans .. this place could be great but it’s a no go..

The biscuits and gravy were bad enough that the waitress agreed they were bad by replying “I agree” when I told here they were doughy and tasted bad. That was a first…. Ohhh, but there would be a second and a third. After she took the plate a minute later a man approached (not dressed in any distinguishing uniform or name tag) and pulled from his pocket a wadded dirty $10 bill and said “here’s your money back” and pitched it on the table… “I’m the owner, we are awarded the best in town for years, you must not be a happy person”
Now me and my girlfriend are just in shock; to this point I have been polite, not asking for anything no refund no replacement of the dish nothing, hadn’t raised my voice, nothing. And I replied the man, “I didn’t ask for anything, certainly not my money back, and I’m very happy, bad food doesn’t ruin my day; the food was bad, I sent it back and said please bring me a menu so I can look for something else”. Which seemed to make him even more upset… “what do you want” …. At this point I want absolutely NOTHING other than to leave. But I reply “I want nothing sir, but thank you for asking”, and this makes him more upset; “I’m just trying to do customer service”… which now I’m upset and reply “NO you are not, now can you just leave us alone” after he walked away we got up and walked out.
Sunday breakfast at a “local” spot is what we do, it reminds us our money stays in the community, that local values and ethics still exists and you can see it in action….. NOT this place, shameful, disrespectful, entitled, narcissistic, and it wasn’t an employee making the place look terrible…. It was the owner…..
So no, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone I liked.

All I can say is WOW!! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an absolute delicious breakfast from some hardworking folks. I had the breakfast taco with sausage and green chile and it was the best breakfast taco that I have had in awhile and I am from Texas!! My husband had the award winning pancakes and they by far were the absolute best we have EVER eaten. Hands down. I hope to have an opportunity to visit here again on my next trip to New Mexico. If you haven’t tried this place, you are missing out.

I’ve been here a handful of times and it’s always delicious. I love the hotcakes here with a side of sausage. Also a healthy serving of cake. 🍰🥰🥰♥️ 10/10 recommend.

Was highly recommended but they lost our order & NEVER got food. Recommend watching to make sure order gets submitted and watch others in line of when they get food.

What a charming mom and pop restaurant! Old gas station turned into a yummy breakfast spot. Counter order with a vast curated menu! The chicken fried steak with gravy was the best I've had in a long time! I believe it's the owners who make the rounds making sure everything was delish, topping off water and beverages. The prices are very reasonable. Looks to be a local hot spot❤️

Not at all tacky or overpriced as one might expect on Route 66, right by a major downtown. The food was great, and there's a classic feel to this place.

Came to have a late brunch. Got the chilaquiles and my husband got the ham grande burrito. The chilaquiles were not the best just really thick chips with chili poured on top, nothing to special. Eggs were cooked good and the chili was meh. My husband gave his burrito a 4 stars. The service was wonderful and warm. The Atmosphere is cozy and loud.

Jerry and his catering team are exceptional in their service and super friendly. The food was delicious with just the right amount of spice

Disappointed and over rated. Had to wipe table of syrup. Chicken and waffles and waffles stone cold. Chicken fried steak (no seasoning or taste, and eggs with sourdough. Toast was plain white bread. (Probably thought wouldn't notice. Had to get own set up as didn't have a fork. Limited seating so was in outside enclosed patio. Cooling was a fan blowing at the back of my neck. Pigeons running freely in dining area.
