Food is kinda mid, way over priced, could get a better meal for cheaper at many other places but the staff and atmosphere was very nice

I took my wife here for her birthday. We were really looking forward to it with all the great reviews. We were the first table sat. After watching 3 more tables be sat, and greeted our server finally approaches. He was training another server, so I assumed thats what took him so long. As he introduced himself, he locked eyes on my wife's chest and they stayed there almost the entire time. We got our drinks and salad quickly, but had to flag our server down after 25 minutes to place our food order. As he took the order, his eyes go straight back to my wife's chest. It was very awkward, as I could tell that even the trainee was noticing the uncomfortable stare. The food came out quickly after, and that was the last we saw of our server. The trainee came by to ask if I wanted another drink, but never asked about the food. The drinks were amazing, but the food was subpar. I got a wagu steak which was okay, and my wife got the burger which could have used some ketchup. We ate a little more than half our meal out of hunger and flagged our server down for the check. Not asking how it was or even offering dessert he brought us our bill. We were there for 1.5 hours so its not like we were in a huge rush. We are big foodies and love to try new places, but this one we will not be returning to.

I was at Char recently for a birthday dinner with the family. The atmosphere is as described: cozy and intimate with soft lighting. The enchiladas were delicious and savory. However, what surprised me was the long wait time and inattentiveness from our server. Several times we had to wave for attention. While there were many positives, the quality of service tainted our experience on a special day.

The attention to small details truly makes this place stand out. Every bite was full of flavor, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome, and the restaurant itself is beautiful and comfortable. Honestly, this might be one of the best steak experiences I’ve had in years. Highly recommend!

Called earlier today and was told we did not need a reservation for lunch. Came in with my husband and was told they wouldn't take our table since there were taking photos. While I was standing in the lobby they welcomed another single guest in for lunch and drinks who also did not have a reservation. If the restaurant was closed they should have closed it for everyone.

My husband and I went to Char restaurant on the 31st of October. Things were going good, the appetizers were great, until I cut into my wedge salad and a pitcher bug came crawling out out of the salad. I was so disappointed cause I was looking forward to the main course. That left a bad taste in our mouth to continue to eat there.
The food was delicious and creative. We enjoyed everything from appetizers to dessert. The drinks were also very creative and great!

Great vibe, excellent service and the food was good however the portions were SMALL foe the price. Sides were not included and the service didn’t tell us that. Don’t come super hungry and/or order an appetizer (or two :)
