This place was packed. The food was amazing- but the service was passive aggressive at best. Maybe it was because we were situated towards the center of the restaurant? But being passed over for drink refills and having to wait an extended period of time just to get a to-go box that was manhandled for me... I'll pass on coming back. If anything, maybe I would consider carryout because dining in- sucked.
Finally had the opportunity to come here on a work trip and was not disappointed. Places like this are a dying breed unfortunately. Genuinely good food, clearly made with love. The people who own it and work there were welcoming, happy, and really seemed to care about what they’re doing. Absolute gem of a find. I’ll be back anytime I’m in ABQ.
First visit at Cheese & Coffee Cafe. The Chelsea and Green Chile Stew really hit the spot! There was a generous amount of turkey and just right green chile on the perfectly toasted sourdough. The stew had great flavor and a good mix of meat, beans, chile, and corn.
