The ORIGINAL Cocina Azul at 12th & Mountain Rd is a true culinary treasure. From the moment you walk in, the vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel welcome. Their dishes are packed with authentic flavors that celebrate traditional recipes while adding a fresh, modern twist. Whether it’s the tacos, enchiladas, or their famous blue corn tortillas, every bite is a delicious journey. The portions are generous, and the quality is consistently excellent. It’s the kind of place where you want to bring friends and family to share a memorable meal.

This may be my new favorite Restaurant in Albuquerque. Outstanding food, Green Chili is the best. I got one of the Combos and I would highly recommend. Will be coming back here for sure.

We went off ratings and price and boy did we nail it with this decision! Delicious food, incredible service from the beautiful friendly Arianna and we loved the ambiance! Arianna even brought us warm Sopapillas for dessert! Very nice touch!

This little dinner's food is on point. We stopped in for lunch. We are not from the area; otherwise, we'd become regulars. The food was authentic and fresh. The spices and tastes are great.

First time to the original Cocina Azul and it was spectacular 😍 As expected, it was busy on Saturday evening but the service was great. Each server was friendly and tried their best to quickly deliver items. We had a little delay due to a big party. Our server was generous in providing complimentary chips & salsa while we waited.

We ordered a chicken burrito and a NM combo plate. The food was very flavorful. The chile was spicy 🔥🥵 🌶️ ask for chile on the side if you're adverse to very spicy food. The sopalillas were very delicious, light and fluffy.

Will definitely return and highly recommend.

Amazing food with a casual vibe! Way better than any “upscale” New Mexican places we tried. Their red and green salsas are both delicious and really unique. The brisket burrito and creamy chicken chile rellenos were big standouts. Get the sopapillas for dessert!

This place is amazing! They were busy but attentive and efficient. And the food. Wow! The best tacos I've ever had!!

Had dinner while visiting our son. Excellent meal. I had chicken burrito smothered in green chili. I had forgotten how much I like green chili. Highly highly recommend

Good salsa!

2.26.2025 - Our party of four ate at this restaurant, while visiting from TN and GA. The flan is the best flan that I have ever had. We shared plates and enjoyed every bite.
