The food is always great! But the restaurant has its own distinct atmosphere which is different from the original. It has more of a neighborhood bar kind of vibe.

Love the food! I wish they would offer Mexican Coke or some other bottled drinks with sugar instead of just the gross fountain drinks. Something to match the great food would be great! Other high quality New Mexican restaurants do it, wish they would and I would take my meetings there more often

The food and the service are pretty good. Simple and tasty New Mexican food and other items. Don't forget to order the chips with the green and red salsas as they are really good.

I went with a friend to experience Cocina Azul and we were not disappointed. We had the fish tacos with fideo & Calabacitas
Everything thing was well seasoned & the service was everything it should be. I can hardly wait for another occasion to return.
It was pricey but well worth it.

We have been going to this restaurant for years. After today's horrible service, we will not return. The waitress and manager were very rude. The owner was too busy to speak to us. Today will be our last visit to this place.

I ordered the ribeye and asparagus, medium. It was a little overcooked, but still tender and juicy. It was served over shredded lettuce with diced tomatoes on the side. I thought it was a strange combo. The asparagus were dried out and overcooked. For sides, I got potatoes which were crispy and delicious. I also got calabacitas, and they were ok. The service was good in the beginning our server attentive. But halfway through our meal she stopped checking on us. They had live music, which was nice. The restaurant was clean and roomy.

Score one for the Taco burgers!
Me and my Husband got the combination plate which had 1 tamale,1 brisket taco,1 chile relleno, and 1 brisket rolled enchilada you can get a sopapilla or tortilla with it and rice and beans and your choice of chile my husband got christmas I got red on the side . We also got chips and salsa . Okay so the brisket seemed dry and tough but was ok the tamale was good the chile relleno was good and the enchilada was ok again brisket was dry and tough so made it hard to chew the chile was ok not hot at all now the sopapillas were a disappointment they tasted to much like yeast and were just not good at all service was ok could of been a little better would of like to get refills on our drink but very friendly and clean chips were very good salsa not good . Beans were also hard and rice is plan white rice no flavor. Do I recommend let's say give it a try see what you think but for us this was the 3rd time trying and no more unfortunately.

Slow service, like very slow. The queso was awesome with the toasted chips. If you ask for more chips they will not be toasted.

Restaurantji Recommends
Other than good service and atmosphere, nothing positive to talk about this place. We went there after hearing about their chips and salsa. We ordered it to try (wasn't complimentary). Chips were fresh and Salsa was spicy but lacks flavor. Also not sure if it was made fresh since didn't see any fresh ingredients (cilantro, lime or onions). The street Taco, rice and beans were fresh but tasted bland! They definitely lack flavor and spice. I wouldn't call this place authentic Mexican/new Mexican at all. The Chicken Quesadilla was ok.
Everything was overpriced compared to quality and portion in my opinion. Their compitaror (let's say Sadie's/Tomasitas) providing better quality of food with reasonable price and complimentary items (chips/salsa/sopapilla). But here we payed ~6$ for mediocre chips and salsa and more $$ for bland food. Why go back or recommend ?!

I’ve heard that the mountain location is best, but I will say the green chile burgers here are our favorite!!!!!!! I love the Horchata too.
