I’ve been here a few times over the past 5 years or so. The carne adovado enchiladas are my favorite - always a crowd pleaser!

I am from out of town and dropped in by a locals suggestion. Fajitas were ok at best. Chips and salsa horrible. Papa's potatoes were home fries. Do not recommend.

BEWARE!!!
They have raised their prices 25-28%
Sopapillas were included with your meal, now they cost extra.
REVIEW your detailed bill- they now charge a ridiculous "SERVER FEE" in addition to their average dinner meal cost of $17.95.
They are charging you anyway they can!
BTW their tip choices are based on their additional charges and Tax.
Correct tipping is only a % of your food and beverages- not tax and their Server Fees?

I was embarrassed leaving such a measly tip, but honesty based on the sevice....even that was too much. We've never ever, ever, ever been somewhere where we reciever our food before our first drink... until Cocina Azul. The fact that people were ordering two drinks at a time should have clued me in that the service was slow. The bartender and server spent more time in the back than upfront. There was obviously no manager in sight and the staff was taking full advantage of that. The behavior of the bartender was especially egregious.....arguing loudly about orders she received and cursing with coworkers within earshot. We thought better of you Cocina Azul. We expected more.

Not Family Friendly.
More like bar food quality.
We had steak fajitas, they are not the quality cut.
Street tacos carnitas was awful. Extremely pale corn tortillas, like a store bought quality. Carnita meat was extremely dry and lack seasoning or flavor.
Service was not prompt. We had to asked for service, our needs were not anticipated. My child's cheese quesadillas arrived cold. We wanted steak, they were out. We wanted blue corn tortillas, they were out.
Do not recommend.

Not the same Cocina Azul of days passed. Had to wait well over an hour to get our food which when the restaurant was not busy at all. Food was mediocre at best. No drink refills, forgot to bring an item ordered and when asked about it/where it was, had DGAF attitude. For 3 entrees and only water, it was $50. And they charge for chips and salsa.

Tomasita's and Sadie's are consistently amazing and good too say this place lost its place in my heart.

I had the brisket and rib eye street tacos. They are mini taco size. The brisket was dry and didn't have much flavor. The prime rib came with grilled onions and was pretty good. The sides were better than the tacos. The two salsas on the side were extremely hot, and I could not use them on my food. My server was very busy with tables and didn't have time to check back with me once I received my food.

We had to ask for water refills, took forever to get our checks. They did not want to do separate checks for a party of 8, business lunch. The food was slow to come, but was ok. The place was pretty empty & yet we all agreed worst service & unfriendly, that any of us had received in a long time.

Expensive and food was mediocre. Fish in my tacos was overcooked, crisp and hard. The crema sauce had zero taste. The fideos were watery but tasty and the posole was decent. Red Chile was hot but just right. The red salsa is so hot it's nearly inedible. Why? No need for it to be that hot as it cannot be enjoyed. Our server was fabulous! I don't think I'll be back, though.
