I placed a mobile order and payment was successfully processed through the app. When I arrived at the counter and presented the receipt, the staff informed me that if the order did not appear in their system, they could not honor it. I was instructed to wait until the scheduled delivery time to determine whether their system would update.
This created significant frustration since I had already been charged. I am sharing this experience so others are aware that there may be issues with the ordering and verification process at this location.
Love dary is great just the service wasn't very good he was rude
We were traveling to Utah and decided we needed a treat for the road. Friendly staff. Quality is the same consistency as at other Dairy Queen stores.
Is not a grill but ice cream was good
Dairy Queen ice cream, the bomb!! I recommend the turtle blizzard.
š yummy
Holbrook AZ DQ was a refreshing stop between ABQ and LV.
Based on previous reviews and my most recent experience, this particular location could use new management.
I tried to place a delivery order for 2 Blizzards (Oreo Blizzards with Cookie Dough and Brownie). Unfortunately, none of the delivery food apps (Uber Eats, Door Dash, Grubhub) would provide the option for 2 additional toppings - only 1. I contacted the store via phone and explained to them that I'd be happy to pay the additional 80 cents for the extra topping (brownie), however the online app would not provide that option and then asked him as a courtesy if they could throw in a scoop of brownie to my order. Specifically I stated, "could you do me an 80 cent favor so I can place a $15.00 order to your business?"
The gentleman I was speaking to responded by saying, "well, youāre asking for something for free so no - we won't do that".
Next, I contacted the Dairy Queen on Holly and Paseo Del Norte and explained the situation. The woman who answered responded by saying, "I'm so sorry about that...we can definitely do that for you". She placed me on hold so I could place the delivery order and then hand write notes of my request on the receipt.
I called the Dairy Queen on Eubank and Juan Tabo back again and requested a manager. Little did I know that the gentleman I spoke with the first time WAS the manager. I let him know that the location on Holly/Paseo was more than happy to accommodate my request and his response was, "All stores are independently owned and I have a customer in my lobby." He then proceeded to hang up on me.
Clearly the management at this location is incapable of being flexible due to technical issues on the customer side. More importantly, he could use some educating on profit margins...80 cents off for a $15.00 purchase AND returning business is a win in comparison to a spoonful of brownie inventory.
This Eubank location is nearest to my home, however I'll bypass to drive the extra 10 minutes and/or add an extra tip for delivery drivers to order from Holly/Paseo instead.
- Update 1 day laterā¦
When I tried to place this order yesterday, I was out of town trying to order delivery as it was my daughterās birthday. Thanks to the team at the Holly/Paseo location, she received her blizzard just how she asked.
Iām back in town today and thought Iād swing by the Holly/Paseo location to thank them in person - and place another order (picture attached). The store manager offered my daughter a free blizzard as thanks for our business and explaining the situation in person. I politely declined and instead paid full price for their, āabove and beyondā customer service yesterday.
All told, Dairy Queen on Eubank lost out on $45 worth of business over 2 consecutive days because the manager was more concerned about his 80 cent spoonful of brownieā¦.hopefully more with this review.
Iām shocked at how horrible the managerās customer service was. My grandma was sold five, dollar-cone gift cards and gifted them to my kids for Christmas. I made a special trip with my 5 year old, dressed up and everything, to go get it. Only to be met with a, āwe donāt do that hereā from the manager. Just yesterday I took my two other children to the paseo location to fulfill it with no issues. He insisted that they are different locations and do different things. Thatās fine. But seriously, heād rather make a five year old cry than just make up the difference. He refused to even check the amount on the gift card. Iām absolutely baffled. Better places deserve your business than this one.

I went to go get a ice cream with some friends and I was having a good time and then I took one step into this place and I could not believe the stench that was emanating from this establishment. It smelled like you dads ass crack on hot summer day . I could not believe that they thought it was ok to run this place in such a condition. We were planing to eat there but could not. I was impressed by the costumer service but disappointed in the atmosphere.

Love the blizzards. They still have low cost items, like the $5 for 2 items which is a great option for smaller appetites.

No matter when we visit or how long the line is, we are in and out. Most efficiently run DQ I've ever been to.

Closed early. Disappointing. Why say open until 10 if you are going to close early?
One of the only places to get a banana split.
