Looking through Yelp for a new place to try for lunch that was still close enough to where we work so we could make it back and I stumbled across this gem! It had great reviews, the food looked yummy and it's locally owned so we gave it a try and are we glad we did! As you can see from the pics the portions are huge and the chip and salsa(s) are included with your meal (for dine in anyway)...they have a red and green salsa and the red was our favorite with the chips, the guacamole was so yummy and the refried beans were warm, very tasty! The chimichanga was so good, lots of meat and fried to perfection The burrito was good too, hubby preferred it with the green salsa. The service was fast, in and out in less than 45 mins and sat for a few after our meal. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back!!

If you want great food with an extremely nice owner, this is your place. They are just starting out so the dining room is still a work in progress but again, food is outstanding. The chips and salsa they provide at no charge is basically nachos that are awesome (see picture). That was a meal by itself. The owner allowed me to customize my main order. I hope they stay around.

First visit to this highly recommended spot. I am continuing to learn about Mexican food. This restaurant will be at the top of my go to spots to learn more. The building is not much to look at from the street. There is ample parking though. Inside, the ambience is described as relaxed and unpretentious. I felt very comfortable there. There are both dine in and carry out options. I had combination plate number 12, Carne Asada. It came with chips and salsa that included guacamole. The portion size was quite generous. Everything was cooked fresh, right on the spot. The food is delicious, and the prices are low. I really like places like this. Great food at great prices. I only encountered one person of the staff there. He took my order at the window, brought the food to my table, and then struck up a conversation with me as I was leaving. Very friendly. The pride taken in presenting their product was evident.

So nice to have great tasting Mexican food in the south valley! It is family owned with fast service. I order the beef tacos which is crispy tacos. If you order the "tacos" they are taquitos just a heads up. If you dine in you get complimentary chips with guacamole and crema. It's a new business so eat local and support them!

I used to eat at this place when it was coors cafe. Now it's Juan Diego and my son I decided to try it tonight. It was absolutely delicious!! The service thru the drive up was fast and they made the food fresh. We got a chicken taco, beef tacos a guacamole tostada and chorizo breakfast burrito. You can order breakfast all day and night! The taco and tostada shells were so fresh and just the perfect amount of crispiness. The salsa is good and they put a huge amount of meat in the tacos with just enough garnish. All 3 of us ate for 29$. Totally affordable. I will definitely be back to this place! Glad the south valley has another small local restaurant with amazing food!

Closed due to corona virus before reservation. Too bad they couldn't do take out. Promised coupon via a phone for last minute closure but nothing showed up. Unfortunate times for a great restaurant

This was the best place I have ever dinned in at! I have been to a lot of places and I have never had a restaurant that had everything look exactly like the photo as well as excellent taste. I'm not one to open up and try new things but I went 4 days in a row and I everything I tried was beyond amazing. The management is extremely nice and the waiters were super nice! I am from out of state and I would drive back there just to eat here. Seriously #1 restaurant! Should consider making one in Texas!

Brixen is amazing! The quality of food and the ambiance are on point! Ian always takes good care of us! Whether I (or we) go in for a quick bite or to enjoy a glass of wine - the quality of service, is always at its best.

My friend and I went on a Sunday evening and enjoyed a variety of Shareables and drinks. Everything was excellent! I especially loved the roasted brussel sprouts! The place was near full, but the tables are spaced nicely so that we didn't feel mashed together and easily carried on a conversation. I highly recommend this place, good energy and delicious food lovingly prepared and served.

Overall food was solid and tasty but chicken was a bit dry and overcooked. The honey chicken over cornbread was quite tasty despite that. Overall a nice spot downtown-ambience feels a bit more bar than restaurant but a good spot for drinks and decent food.

We loved this place! In Albuquerque for business. So happy we found this gem. Menu was excellent and fit the needs of everyone in our party - a vegetarian, a gluten-free girl and a picky eater. The vibe was fun and casual. I highly recommend Brixens!
