I was told they were famous for their Pizza’s. So why not check them out. Service guy at the counter seemed to be completely glazed over. Took my order, but apparently entered it wrong, because 30 mins later when I got it, it wasn’t the right one. But told me that’s what I ordered. Was supposed to be something with green chokes, but instead got the carnivore.. it wasn’t alright, but if this is “famous”, then they need a true “rock star” to bring up their game.
Dion's is a New Mexico staple. Really good at all the things they make (pizza, salads, subs), and priced reasonably. Feels like a good spot if you want better than fast food but aren't looking for a whole waited-on sit down experience.

As a Chicago guy, I find pizzas in New Mexico to fall short of the mark. That said, Dion's makes an effort to provide a decent pie.
The pies are freshly prepared, but would benefit from sausage that was actually cooked on site and not the precooked sausage crumbles that are served. I'll be back as this is the only show in town.
