Call me silly, but I like hot dogs and road trips, so this little Route 66 join has been on my list a while. It was a no-frills but tasty quick bite.

I got the half chili dog, which was delicious. The onion rings, despite being panko breaded, were also tasty. I chased it with a tasty cherry shake.

The little shack is charming, with a jolly warm neon Weiner dog welcoming hungry travelers outside.

My dad has been bringing me here my entire life. His dad brought him there since he was a kid. Hot dogs and red chile hit the same today for me as when I was young. My dad agrees. Same small restaurant that it has always been. Never sold out for an updated larger spot. That's part of the char.!

We came to the Dog House purely for the experience, since it’s been featured in both Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad, and it was really awesome getting to see it in person. Me and my wife both ordered the chili cheese dog, our daughter got a corn dog, and we all shared a side of onion rings with three cherry shakes.

Everything was great! The chili had a bit of spice to it—different than what we’re used to but very enjoyable. The onion rings were perfectly crisp and flavorful, easily some of the best we’ve had. Our daughter loved her corn dog, and even my wife, who normally isn’t a big corn dog fan, took a bite and ended up liking it too.

Overall, it was an awesome experience with delicious food. We’d definitely come back!

Small joint, simple menu. Staff was great food was okay. The chili reminds me if a spicier wienerschnizel. Not bad just not worth the hype.

An ABQ icon. Try the Frito pie!

Pulled up on our bikes and a guy ran out to take our order! Most restaurants won't even serve us, but they welcomed us with old time hospitality!

Eat inside for a trip back to better days.

The dog house on downtown Central Avenue is nostalgic at best with flavor that hasn’t changed in decades. This is pure comfort food for me as it is a taste of my childhood and plays like a song that describes and defines a cuisine like no other.
The very spot where this building sits is like the Sandia mountains , never wavering, always there, a venue you can count on, to never let you down.
