It wasn’t as good as I remember. Of course last time I was here was prior to the pandemic. The food wasn’t anything special. Service wasn’t great. Hated that we had to keep swatting flys off of us. We went on a week day about lunch time.

Unpopular opinion, but overpriced for what it is. I used to come here all the time, just came back after a couple years, had a salmon poke bowl and there was more horseradish in that thing than I have ever eaten in my entire life, painful experience. Also made my wife puke so still paying for it hours after the initial experience
OMG worst sushi ever that’s it.

We loved their shrimp fried rice so much that we also ordered one for takeout. Had to go for a late dinner, but everything turned out better than anticipated. Highly recommend the coconut shrimp too.

My favorite sushi spot. They are the best
I decided to stop by here after work, overall the food was good but not great, the soup was decent, the service was really good, the couple running the place were very friendly and provided good customer service. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, but if I was in the area, I would stop by.

We were just in the area and the place got a high rating so we decided to try. The server was very nice and friendly. Food wasn’t that good, compared to the price. I ordered pork tonkatsu bowl and tamago nigiri (it’s Omelette nigiri here). Tonkatsu bowl was overcooked, dark brown and hard breaded, dried pork inside, and too little of the sauce which wasn’t even the Tonkatsu sauce. To my surprise, Tamago nigiri took too long, I almost finished my Tonkatsu bowl when it’s served. Even worse, very disappointed, they were not worth $4.99 for 2pcs and we ordered 8pcs. Tamago was cut up in different sizes from very thin to super thick slices and they were burned on the edge.

Well wanted to give this place a shot working downtown. Walked in host said to grab a seat anywhere and sat there for 7 mins without being acknowledged by any wait staff. Oh well, plenty of other sushi downtown

Don Sushi is a unique sushi spot located in an unexpected part of town. Featuring delicious, fresh cuts of fish and an atmosphere unlike any other I've experienced. Having recently expanded this hole in the wall has gotten a bit bigger but kept all the delightful charm. For the guys and bad all parking is street parking but during off peak hours this is hardly a big deal.
If you're in the neighborhood or looking for a new sushi spot, you'd be missing out to pass over Don Sushi.
