This food was AMAZING! I ordered the bowl and it was the best tasting bbq I've EVER had! With a slight green chile addition, it really hit the spot!

I don’t think I’ve ever left a restaurant review, but this place has earned it. Their brisket is the best I have ever had, and dwarfs the other bbq restaurants in the area (or anywhere on the west coast). Even the sides like Mac n cheese, potato salad , and bbq beans are all great. Truly this is a 10/10 bbq spot. Keep it up!

Ps- I paid 2$ today for an entire mason jar of spicy bbq sauce. Another great part of their offerings.

Duke City BBQ feels like another Albuquerque gas-station BBQ spot that just doesn’t live up to the hype. The brisket tasted more oven-roasted than smoked, lacking that deep bark and rich smoke flavor you expect from real pit barbecue. It was also noticeably under-seasoned, with almost no salt, which left the meat tasting flat instead of bold and beefy.

The sausage was just as disappointing. It crumbled under the slightest pressure and, once again, had almost no smoke presence. Texture and flavor are huge when it comes to sausage, and this one missed the mark on both.

One thing that really stood out was the menu setup. In most BBQ joints, pairing brisket and ribs in a combo is a no-brainer. At Duke City BBQ, though, the meat combo doesn’t allow ribs at all, which feels like a strange and frustrating choice for customers who want to sample the staples.

Overall, it wasn’t a terrible meal, but it was far from memorable. If you’re serious about barbecue and looking for real smoke flavor, properly seasoned brisket, and classic combo options, Duke City BBQ probably won’t be at the top of your list.

First time trying this place, me and my lady are very happy. When I got home, I noticed they forgot to put my sandwich into the bag. Went back and told them that. They immediately helped me out, and treated me really well. Because of that service we will be going back! So far the sausage is my favorite!

Decent BBQ. I do not recommend the Carolina style pulled pork. Pork was good but the sauce is not a good representation of Carolina, it wasn't tangy or mustard-y enough.

Brisket was tender. They were out of spicy BBQ sauce the day we were there.

We were looking forward to trying this place and supporting local, however we will not be going back. The brisket was very dry and fatty. The bbq beans were not good. Turkey and sausage good, potatoes salad was ok and macaroni was ok. Also didn’t care for the bbq sauce. Portion sizes could have also been better with the mean considering the cost.

Went in to order a two meat plate could not get chicken or ribs as one of the meats. The brisket was tough and dry over cooked like it had sat in the oven or hot box to keep warm the ribs which i got separately was the same. The sausage had a strange texture and was dry as well. The beans were horrible as well as the Mac and Cheese. I will never go back. The worst BBQ I've ever had.

We had a big takeout order ($200+) and they were able to fill it in about ten minutes. The food was really delicious. The brisket was super tender, the turkey was tasty, the regular sausage and green chile sausage were delicious. The sides were delicious too, better than most bbq places. Super kind and helpful customer service. We'll definitely make this our bbq of choice in ABQ!

We absolutely loved our first visit tonight at Duke City BBQ! We shared the pork spare ribs, brisket and jalapeño cheddar sausage. All were amazing and the best we’ve had in Albuquerque. We also shared sides of beans, potato salad and fried okra. All were so good! We can’t wait to come back and plan to tell our friends who are BBQ lovers as well. The only thing we wish they had is beer! But it won’t prevent us from going back.

Well, it didnt take long for Duke City BBQ to go down the hill just like every other restaurant in ABQ. THE BRISKET WAS CUT THICK AND TUFF TO CHEW, THE MACORONI AND CHEESE IS NOW SOME WIERD SOUPY MIXTURE. THIS PLACE SUCKS AND IS ONLY CONCERNED ABOUT VOLUME INSTEAD OF QUALITY.
