Drinks are great, bartenders are nice. Loved going here at first but what I’m noticing is that the same type of music is played every Saturday. Literally the same songs any time I’ve tried to go. It’d be nice to hear from new DJs and hear music from like Pink Pantheress, Paramore, idk different artists and songs without it being overly remixed.

This place can be very lively. I came here for the Summerween event and it was very fun, the people were awesome and the vibes were great. It's a little sad that the party had to end at 1:40am, and that they lock all the bathrooms at about 1:30am so if you aren't aware, you might get caught off guard.

I strongly recommend that your security team receive better training, particularly when it comes to handling medical-related situations. I am a Type 1 diabetic and require the use of insulin and syringes. During my recent visit, a security officer attempted to publicly question and challenge me for carrying an insulin syringe (I also had my insulin)—something that is both medically necessary and legally permitted. It was not until another, better-informed officer intervened that I was finally allowed to enter.
This experience was not only frustrating but also deeply offensive and unnecessarily humiliating. It’s unacceptable for individuals with medical conditions to be treated this way. I hope you take this seriously and make the necessary improvements to prevent this from happening to others.

I don't know, it is strange, I spent about 50 dollars between the ticket and drinks, and didn't enjoy the experience that much. Maybe it would be better if I had drank a little bit more before I arrived there. It also ended too early.

This bar has many levels to it. Multiple DJs creating a atmosphere unlike any other. Definitely a great time even if it doesn't have the biggest crowd. Highly recommend this to anybody going to this club. This is the place to be.

It was me and a few friends first time experiencing the night life in Albuquerque and this place did not disappoint. We went to 6 different spots on that street and Effex was definitely the best one we went to and the one we spent the most time in. A gay guy approached me on the dance floor and asked for a dance. I told him I was strait and he asked me what I'm doing in a gay club. I told him I just found out it was a gay club when you said it but now that you said it, I am interested in free drinks. He laughed and the party went on. All that to say, if you are homophobic, this probably isn't the spot for you but if you are just looking for a good spot to dance and get some drinks, Effex was fun

Have a place to sit and smoke and drink. Frankly - this is why you only have teens here. Worst gay bar I’ve been to in 20 years. That’s worth the $20 cover. Children. Rooftop bar (smoking area) and no chairs. This place is trash…. Side note - downstairs bartender gave me ear plugs when he saw me stuffing napkins in my ears. That’s the only 1 star.

there were 3 different DJs, 3 different floors, and the last one was like at the roof (open space). i liked the second floor the most. (the first and last floor were kindaempty) Wasn't there a lot of people, the dj was super awesome. We had a good time. the entrance is free. and there is a bar on each floor.
