Ended up here after a long drive into Albuquerque. The food really hit the spot, the chilli rellenos were tasty and authentic. My wife got the enchiladas, we both shared our meals so we could same each other's. The enchiladas were very spicy but absolutely incredible. Next time I am back in Albuquerque I would certainly be going back.

We found this spot when we had out of town guests, and ended up eating here about 8 times in a month. The prices are very reasonable, and the food is good. They serve large portions, and everything is flavorful. So far I have tried molé, Al pastor, carne asada, carne adovada, enchiladas, and chicharrones. The molé is my favorite, and I've never had molé that I've liked before. The rice and beans are fantastic. The salsa is hot, and the chips are fresh made. If you order the guacamole appetizer, stick to a small size, unless you have a large party or want a giant cereal bowl of guac!

Chicken enchiladas smothered in green chile - possibly the best enchiladas of my life. Al pastor tacos are also great. Highly recommend!

The food was really good, I born in Albuquerque but I grew up in Mexico, and I can say the food in this restaurant it’s really authentic, the flavors remind me to my childhood in Mexico.
The only Mexican food that rivals El Palenque’s is my guelita’s. Seriously, it’s that good! If you haven’t tried El Palenque, you’re way behind. Get there!

What a great little place! The decor is so cute and welcoming. My husband and I both had tacos and they were amazing. We are thrilled that we discovered this restaurant in our neighborhood and plan to visit often. You will not be disappointed in the food or the atmosphere.
