Great Place!
Came for lunch on a Sunday with my sister and nephew. No wait. We had a relatively new server, Sean, and he was excellent. Even with a large party he was still attentive to our table. The chips and salsa are bomb. Chips are made in house. Thin, warm, the right amount of salt. Food came out fast and to perfection. Guacamole is delicious. Add serano cream sauce to anything and it's magical. Lol There is also have a great a great happy hour.

This place keeps me coming back. Nothing beats good food, good people, and a great atmosphere. Not to mention the mariachi, a beautiful touch!

1st time there and it was so many people that I couldn't even here our conversation.
The food was good I just didn't like that they gave us our Sopapillas at the end. I would've like to have them hot and with our main course dinner.

Margaritas soooo sooo good yum yum !
I thought there would be a happy hour going on at El Patron. We went to the bar around 5:00 and there was nothing other than $5 fireball shots. We sat at a bistro table and were offered menus and water. We ordered off the senior menu. I ordered 2 tacos, smashed beans, and rice. My wife ordered 3 taqiitos with whole beans and rice.
My tacos were ground beef, but the flavor was overwhelmingly textured vegetable protein, served in premade taco shells with a sprinkle of lettuce and even less tomato. I ordered 2 tacos and couldn't force myself to finish the last one. My wife tried one taquito and left the other 2 on the plate. The serve brought 2 sopapillas. Cold and hard as cardboard. I poured some of the high fructose corn syrup, sugar, with a touch of honey into the stiff cold sopapilla and tried to eat it.
The restaurant is a sham, the service and environment are nice, but the food is the worst New Mexican food I've ever eaten.

Been here a couple of times and it was ok .. took my wife today for our 36th anniversary, stood in the foyer almost 10 minutes until we were halfway greeted by 2 people who only said I'll be back.. waited another 10 minutes looked in the dining room and there was only one table, this place isn't all that good to be treated like that... definitely not going back.. lots of other places around that appreciate you

Didn't get to go, Didn't get to order. Completely worthless!!! No one answers the phone, Cant use the web site to order because it will not let you hold certain items. Or... On the taco plate, (of 3) will not let you order 2 of 1 or 1 of the other. Wont let you mix. Called like 5 times, no answer, when you do get an answer it is a recording and you cant leave a message. I have eaten here before, wanted to try the Tacos. BUT NOPE!! Stay away. The is much much better food at other places that will answer the phone.
Extremely slow service. We both had Indian Tacos. The sopapilla base was thick and not particularly tasty. The toppings were good and I appreciated being able to get black beans instead of meat. Unfortunately, the pinto beans seemed to be refried which generally is not vegetarian and I suffered for it. The margaritas were tasty. It was nice they sent our sopapillas home, but they suffered from the same heavy and pasty texture as the Navaho taco crust. Maybe we just didn't do a good job of picking dishes.

El Patrón Montgomery is a terribly noisy restaurant. The noise was so bad we had to leave and go somewhere else. Before we left, the server was too aggressive and abandoned us after we asked to move to a different table, which wouldn’t have helped much with the noise anyway. We will never go back to El Patron on Montgomery, except for carryout or the outdoor patio in warmer weather.

Visiting from out of town and this is the first time dining here on a Saturday night. There was a live band taking request from each table in the resturaunt. The food was great. Our server Rodrick took good care of us. Excellente!
