You just cannot beat the ambience on the patio at El Pinto and the food is consistently excellent.

El Pinto as usual has easy seating. Dined in the outdoor patio and loved it. Our waitress was prompt and gave us helpful suggestions. Food was over the top flavorful and prepared to perfection.

Sure, hope the kitchen get's their act together soon. Last night our friend's steak took 3 attempts to get it right. Medium rare. The manager came out twice, sending back the twice steak and when it came out the third time it was still not right, but at that point, who cares! I ordered a Quesadilla with Carne Adovada. I've had that in the past and it was delicious. Last nights was awful. There might have been three chunks of Carne, hardly any cheese. It was such a disappointment. At this point with our friend's steak causing so many delays, I didn't say anything. My hubby had the Red Chile Ribs, which are usually outstanding. Not last night. They were dry and tasted old, like leftovers and again, not wanting more delays we did not ask for this to be corrected. To top it all off, the salads came with the dinner, which they are supposed to come before the dinner. The salads were the only good thing about the dinner. This was a special birthday dinner, which turned into such a huge disappointment. The manager comped the steak. He should have comped all four of our meals! We have been going to El Pinto for at least 20 years, but last night's fiasco has certainly put up the red flags of caution.

The food was tasty. The server was a bit frazzled at the start but then really became a winner. The patio is second to none anywhere in the southwest region.

Our server provided excellent service, and the food was very good as we have come to expect. We enjoy the chips and salsa prior to dinner, but the chips were nothing but small chip fragments. Our server noticed this and brought another basket - it too was nothing but small broken chips. The most concerning thing was the number of flies in the restaurant. We were seated inside where I would think it would not be so much of a problem - but the flies were almost intolerable. We noticed that other tables were also complaining about the flies.

I don't like to criticized El Pinto. We were there Sunday PM. Not too busy but we were seated at the farthest table in the back patio. 20 MINUTES before the waiter appeared. That's just too long. Maybe it's just me, but I detest the loud, pop music. I like music, but I want Mexican Music at El Pinto, or Classical Spanish, NOT pop. We were introducing friends to El Pinto and it was a big disappointment. The indifference of the waiter didn't help.

Mixed reviews on the good from out group, but I thought the green chili was great! The star of the show is the atmosphere! Despite being a huge restaurant (seats almost a thousand people) we had a table on the patio and we were able to chat easily with our friends without being drowned out; it felt like one of those amazing summer night dinners on your own patio.

Dinner is always special at El Pinto. We make it a point to have dinner here whenever we are in town.
Food was awesome and great margaritas!! After dining at a table, we sat at the bar and enjoyed great tequila!! Staff was awesome!

Waitress never showed, no drink refills, salad not served before main course. Salad was served with hot food. Just not well done at all.. oh and the BUGS. Ants dropping on us and the table. Flys everywhere
