An absolute gem. The chef here is passionate about food and cooks like a loving grandmother (highest compliment). Chef and team are also immersed in the community and stand by their belief in serving locally sourced ingredients at affordable prices. A place like this is only possible by way of hard work and dedication: the food at Es Que is enriched by this commitment.

Sadly this place wasn’t open when I visited during their advertised hours. Excited to visit during opening and update my review soon.
Amazing food. The green chile stew is amazing. Very unique style with original twists

Best chilaquiles in town at a great price + personality, passion and generosity of spirit. If you don't walk out with that impression you didn't bring those things in with you, I'm convinced.

I ordered the brisket burrito and I went to pick it up (my first time there) and the counter person was rude because I dared go to him to ask for my order. I was told the online orders are put on the counter next to him. Fine, I thought; people have bad days sometimes. I was looking forward to my food and it was bland. The burrito was very subpar: flavor was bland and had scant green chili. I am disappointed because they have a nice atmosphere on the inside (minus the rude man who emanated a bad aura). I would say, go elsewhere!

Absolutely stupendous, you have to eat here.
I got the lion's mane & oyster mushroom breakfast burrito with green and red salsa, and hands down that's one of the best burritos I've ever had. The flavors and textures blend so perfectly.
Such a great vibe in there too, and David the chef was super friendly and down to earth.

I got the Pajarito Sandwhich, the lemon garlic aioli is amazing. My wife got the carnitas burrito, with the pickled green chilies were perfect. The owner was so nice and knowledgeable. We will be back, for sure.

The chef was friendly, attentive, and on point. His take on a cubano - the Chicano - was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had!

This is hands down the best potato salad. Ever.
WOW! My friend Victor had been telling me about this place
for a couple of weeks and when he spoke in superlative language about the wonderful food and the friendliness of the owner and the museum like atmosphere, I thought that he was using a bit of hyperbole.
Well, I discovered with my first taste of the New Mexican food that it is impossible to use hyperbole in describing the experience. It is unbelievably wonderful and I think that everyone who enjoys New Mexican home style delicious,, multi dimensional cuisine should try it out!
